Yeah the strata is done with a plugin called sopack it is a very usefull plugin that has some very good effects give it a go.

This one has to be my favorite of the bunch. Very nice with the strata, is it? I don't even know what that is, but I deduced that it's the layers of dirt. Very good job. oh, and nice touch with the eagle.

I really like the eagle in there. Fits in perfectly. This scene could be perfect if only the strata was a little better. Try using multiple different shades of color in your strata. Right now it seems a little too simple (and nature is never simple)

the terrain is awesome,you might try doing the strata in sections,and have you tried using terrain units to apply your strata?
