This is -in my eyes- my current mile stone. It is a bit older already because I did not want to submit it at all. I felt like it is too personal, important and special to me to bear "cool", "hey pwetty guy. hes hot" or "the shaddow is too dark in my eyes" so I wanted to keep it to myself at first. Only close friends saw the series so far; people I trust. Remindign myself that I do art to show my world, my thoughts to those who care and so I decided to give those a chance to see it, who are able to comprehend and understand it.
"Inherent"..I am referring to the inherent conflict of each human being. We are able to think, to conciously perceive the world aronound us and to memorize analyze what is happening around us..and especially what is happening inside us. This series referrs to that introspection that is human; that each of us does or should do.
It has to do with inwardness, immanent conflicts, imperfection and kind of innermost disruption. But I already said too much. Feel free to associate.
Thank you.
-Lia S.
PS: Curious to see how many people appreciate it, as it is not something DA usually supports.

Lately, I've felt like what this picture represents often. It is incredibly powerful. An innner conflict or struggle, the strain to break out, yet you're twisted all together and you feel like the more you try the less you can get out.
That's the emotion I feel when I look at this. I know it's old, but I haven't logged onto this site in a long time but I felt I should comment.
Thank you for sharing this with us.

Thank you kindly.
As time usually does not matter with the forms of art, it is of course always rewarding and appreciated to read such words as yours. I hope you feel better soon, And thank you again kindly

I felt what I said, but it is not a sickness; at least not to me now. It is a natural emotion within myself that I feel as I strive to be a better person, fighting sometimes against myself and at other times not being sure who I am. I think - and I may be wrong - that many other people feel the same way. It is just that they are afraid to accept it within themselves.
I admit I wondered what it was that drove you to desire to express what you did, and if what it turned out to be is what you felt. I don't expect you to tell me. But I still wonder
The thanks are mine, and I wish you well

Not something I felt at the time. It is part of a general theme I am exploring.
I am glad it touched you and that you are open to say so.

really 'enjoyable' shot and artist comment; together they make up into a rich confection... the shot invites a story... the comment prompts further personal research; i'm presenting writing a story with the working title 'Thisappearance' about the inherency of multiplication of personalities within human beings...
refreshingly 'intense' !

Can you tell me more about what you write/do and if you are interested in writing on my work?

mmm
well right now I'm pursuing [exactly what i mean!] a storyline... if it has a genre' it would be magic-realism-like...
this year I've done a big U-turn and begun to xplore the 'retreat' world as a spiritual guide [i'm an x person-centred therapist, contemporary dancer etc etc ]
want to say more about 'writing on my work'?
best

This is a very powerful photo. It perfectly depicts the intrinsic battle as well as the evil I was expecting. Marvelous.

Excellent work both conceptually and technically. One of those rare pieces that will stick with you long after you've moved on to the next page.
