OK, so i am getting organised and actually posting all the things that are half finished in my stash! This is Tuaq's information. Its a bit ahead of story but i want to be able to post Kaniq's Ref too so they are both all organised for any art trades/collabs i have on the go. and people will be able to learn more about their back story and personalities.

Axe: Purchased axe head with hand crafted Ash handle with walrus carved near the head.
Knife: Hand Carved Walrus Ivory knife. Rather old and Brittle, blade is getting very short and thin after years of use. Mainly used for ceremonial purposes. Has a basic knife for every day use and for carving.

Personal Items:
Knife: Hand Carved Walrus Ivory knife. Rather old and Brittle, blade is getting very short and thin after years of use. Mainly used for ceremonial purposes. The only item he has which belonged to his father.
Walrus Child's Toy: Hand carved walrus tusk to resemble a Walrus. One of the tail flippers is missing and it has cracks all over it. Belonged to his deceased younger brother.
Turquoise Pendant: Small Pendant normally found hanging on a thong from the walrus tusks in his hand carved knife. This was handed down from mother to daughter through his mothers family and is all that he has of hers.
Books: 'Call of the Wild, Swiss Family Robinson, Adventures of Huckleberry Finn'. His favourite stories as a child, and ones that his mother used to read aloud to his younger siblings and himself.

General attitude: Quiet, Steady, Does not talk a lot. He is always doing something with his hands or he feels useless and gets rather anxious and on edge.

History:

Childhood: Grew up as a part of a big family in a small village called Aniak, outside Nome, Alaska. Second oldest son and constantly tried to live up to his older brother. His favourite things were helping his father with jobs around their land, swimming and fishing in summer and reading and listening to his grandfathers stories in winter.

Teen years: Had a falling out with his brother who left for the city and abandoned their family’s traditional beliefs. He had to deal with disappointed father and broken hearted mother. His younger sister and brother (twins, 8 years) had an accident when he was aged 15 and brother died immediately and sister after complications in hospital. His father turned to alcohol and his mother wasted away. His mother died a year later and his father gave up and became a shadow of his former self. He was left to look after their home and care for his alcoholic and dissinterested father. His father never abused him, but instead he suffered more from emotional neglect. He doesn’t believe in himself, nor does he feel he is worthy of anything. The only person who ever supported him was his grandfather, the local Angakoq. However when his grandfather passed away he lost the last positive person in his life.

Adult years: As an adult his innocent eager attitude has changed into wariness of strangers and inability to trust affection and praise. He is self-reliant and independent, and prefers solitude and peace instead of large groups of people. He still loves stories and some of his most cherished possessions are books from his childhood. Call of the Wild, Swiss Family Robinson, Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. At the age of 20 his father died of illness and he was left alone. His extended family both tried to help but also believed that he was cursed with an evil spirit that took his entire family. They tried to cleanse him and free him from its taint but after an accident in the town he felt attitudes begin to shift so he packed what he could and left his past and name behind. He headed where there was work and after a while found a job helping with several animal Breeders. He had a way with the animals but found the people difficult to deal with and very condescending. A runt of one litter was rejected by its mother and he was given the task of nursing the pup back to health. At first he did not want to touch it for fear of cursing it too. However, in the end the pups affection and innocence helped him and he grew to care and love the young female. When she was old enough the breeders wanted to sell her, but he managed to sell a lot of the few family treasures he kept, and he bought her before they could be separated. In the end he moved away from civilisation, and apart from the occasional purchase of supplies he lives a traditional life out in nature.
