Description
HERE IT IIIIIIS, the tutorial I had been working on since January.... Although it's been on a long hiatus until last month. I can't believe it is now doneEventhough it was lots of fun, this is as far as I'll go with dragon tutorials. One reason why I'm terrible at tutorials apart from confidence issues, is there is usually a ton I want to talk about and it becomes a huge mess hahah. I also have trouble explaining and especially in English. Hope all the text doesn't scare you off xD Let me know if you spot any grammar error.
In any case this allowed me to fully nerd out and express my unhealthy love for design features and unique character traits
Also, sorry if the part about "drawing in your own style" feels a bit long, but I wanted to say this since I have been messaged by people several times, that they have been told to change their style and draw dragons like I do because someone told them "it's how you draw dragons, don't use your current style", and I find this really silly. It has happened enough times that I felt it needed to be mentioned. People have no right to dictate how you should draw something and state which style is "right".Β It's also not a good idea to say this if the artist doesn't want their style being copied, but that's another topic.
Anyways, hope you'll enjoy! If you ever use this tutorial to design some charas, I'd totally love to see what you do with it c: And like I said part 2 will be here in a few days ~

I hope that part about style didn't come off as rude or anything c': but that's a point I wanted to be made clear from the start
And I'm glad! I hope this can help a few people to get more ideas for their designs :')

that part from my eyes is a reality check.
As for ideas..i think I will be covered in that dept because I am inclined in the path of metalΒ with my main metallic draggy as the lead...people like cameo help me in the tips from the commision to have those OC more fluid and harmonic with all the parts and not be stiff because metal can't bend....here's an example of the idea of him

And here to help me with the guidance ^^

Looks neat indeed :') I like how the body is still fluid and not as "stiff" as a robotic character might sound.

As for last can I have a little advice for Dreadlight design...
Is in the Horns department,Β I know he had the basic shape of horns from what I see in the tutorial but you think his horns are good enough as they are?,Β his effect gave a transparent horns with bubbles inside giving the impression liquid is inside of them...it is common or shall I leave them like they are..only that ma'am, I been cracking my head from this little topic design @_@

SeaSaltShrimp In reply to BloodDragonJL [2016-08-26 17:03:15 +0000 UTC]
Oh I always thought his horns had liquid inside of them? I found the idea pretty cool xD But no they look fine as they are to me c: and I'm not one to judge anyway, just see if YOU want to change them

BloodDragonJL In reply to SeaSaltShrimp [2016-08-27 03:27:22 +0000 UTC]
IS liquid.......but that liquid is different and change depending his mood...
The concept of them since he's a machine .There is no room for expression from him unlike fleshy characters...his eyes and horns turn like this when he is angry
