Hey everyone, I know it has been a while, hasn't it?
Just figured I'd submit a little treat for you all. I sketched a few things last night and thought it would be nice to share them. Outside of DA a close friend of mine, kept telling me how much important I should draw using shapes and lines. I never listened a now I gave it a try. Apparently these do wonders and it really helps draw much easier and faster.
Actually 2 friends I chat with were telling me to use these, and now I swallowed my pride and listened. So here you go!How do you like them? In my honest opinion I found it weird at first, but I will eventually get used to using this method of drawing from now on. Of course I couldn't help but draw my favorite young princess,
but of course I cannot leave out Emily as well. 
I will not be coloring these sketches since they were just for practice. Anyone is free to color them to their heart's content, but make sure to give me credit of course!

Wow, your artstyle is AMAZING! I especially love the one where Elizabeth is holding a parasol she is my favorite of your creations~ I should probably try drawing that way too, because I am a rather poor drawer. But hey, practice makes perfect. Β

Exactly, at first I was stubborn to not listen, and even though the shapes do get in the way sometimes especially doing them on paper, but it is sure worth it in the end.

I can see how the shapes form the outline for the girls. I'll have to say that my new drawing style for girls is actually very similar. 
It does feel weird at first when trying new stuff, but I think you'll like it very soon.

Actually the lines, for me, are used to determine where the eyes go. I wonder if you notice that sometimes the lines are placed high or low within the circle. That is used to determine if the character is facing up or down; though I am still trying to practice some more.

Yeah, I know. I just don't use them.
I tried using those lines for some, and it did work on some characters (like Mario), but for others, it wasn't as great.
