Just a random thing I did instead of cussing out my internet. This isn't really a tutorial... more like a "what shapes and lines makes Ecco?" kind of deal. I personally don't follow this exact format in drawing Ecco... I tend to draw everyone straight up XD But the shapes are there since it's kinda hard to show someone how to draw "straight up" online without webcam means... or something o___OAnyway enjoy! And ignore my ugly handwriting. And you can't see the dorsal fin from that angle, I didn't randomly forget it >__>

Oh, I see. What about the arms and legs? Do you have to make a pointy joint so that you could distinguish where the elbow or knee is? Or make the legs and arms curvy?

I just kinda make them curvyish @-@ I kinda just eyeball the joints for those.

Usually, I use stick figures as my skeleton sketch.

Straight...up? (is comprehending as I repeat the words under my breath....This is a disadvantageous if your language is not English. ...or is it because it's night time here since my brain is all fuzzed up! o_e)....

Like I draw the chars without first drawing random shapes. If I ned to draw an arm, I draw an arm. If I need a dynamite hot hedgehog, I draw one @.@

Because his mom is a Chao with sleepy eyes... nah kidding XD It's to prevent his cycloptic eyeball from drying out as fast. Or in the case of underwater, so his eyes don't get blinded by sea water D8
He's definitely a weird creature. Anyway it's just a trait that he'll probably won't grow out of anytime soon X3
