Description
It's done! I am extremely proud of this, though there are still some bits and pieces that I'm not particularly fond of. Going to try and work on my wing anatomy a bit before my next major Stryx painting. The wings on these guys are waaaay too long, haha. Nit picks aside though I am quite pleased with the outcome. Now this would be waaaay in the future of Nimbus' and Marcus' timeline. I figure they randomly got paired up with Gwin and Brutus to race. Or they're friends. Or something. Whatever works.
That said this was a payment piece for Sassifrasi of their Stryx Gwin in order to get a slot to her. She's a very pretty bird. I decided to toss Nimbus in there for some AP and to go ahead and get his Daius tribute out of the way (though I'm not sure if that's allowed lol; if not, he's there just for the AP).
Anyways! Enjoy, and I hope this works for you Sassifrasi!

well, when you consider that this is the engine? pegsontheline.com/wp-content/uā¦
A 747 sized dragon would need to have one hell of a wingspan... 750 feet minimal by my way of thinking. Flight does not become the large.

I once did the math, and for a 200 pound creature (that's including the wings) to fly, it would take a roughly 21 foot wing span, or about 3.5x their height. I have no idea how they would take off, though they could fly once airborne. In short, your wings aren't a problem for something that once it's up, doesn't want to come down any time soon.

Hahaha. Yea the larger flying creatures encountered often in fantasy works often times have wings that are too small, but for the sake of following the Dracostryx group's anatomy (and bird wings of the species they're based on, crows and ravens in this case), these guys have wings that are too long and not wide enough lol.
Imagine a dragon the size of a Boeing jet though and how massive those wings would have to be.
