Thanks! But as time passes, I realize that this "loss" I can bear seeing as it might, and probably would only have been, a one sided relationship. If I'm going to invest myself...I want the other to invest equally.

i know what you mean, that's how my last two relationships were; it took a bit to realize, but it hurts to find out. but that kind of hurt fades with time, or it did for me.

Yeah the hurt eventually fades, until the person who causes the pain starts admitting his true feelings, and provides a constant reminder of what could have been. And I'm not sure what's happening. My life is so confusing...running this way and that, doing four things at once, sleeping very little...it's a very messy time right now. It should start to get better soon, however. I'm always optimistic!!

It's good to be optimistic! I'm not sure I would listen at this point, I don't know; I mean, did you think he felt before? I guess I don't know what advice to give you, hon, just that I'm here for ya, for whatever, and I hope things do get better for you soon... Its almost the weekend, too! And yes, I thought he felt before at some point, but that he just managed to close himself to any emotion when he found out he would be moving 6 hours away. He decided the fate of our relationship without even considering how I felt, and I understand the fact that he was and is still trying to protect himself from getting hurt and him hurting me, but he doesn't understand the fact that by not giving us a chance when we had that time, he hurt me more. I don't know. He has to work this one out. I feel like such a hypocrite because I hate the fact that he made up my mind for me, but he's got to sort through his emotions before anything can be done.

Yeah, I wouldn't call you a hypocrite; I mean, did you tell him that him moving didn't change the way you felt about him, and while it might make things harder, shouldn't change the way he feels about you? I mean, sure, it is an indisputably tough decision to make, considering that both of you might have to survive not seeing the other for so long...
I dunno, I suspect that despite my best efforts to the contrary I am biased... I mean...
Have faith, and the right things will happen, whatever they be. That is all I have to say on the subject atm.

I may not have been as blunt as that, but I tried to get across how I felt. It's just I find it hard to do that sometimes because the person I'm trying to get the emotion across has already made up their mind, and I cannot push past it. Or else I think I can't.
It's just, I end up getting hurt, but when they make it clear that they don't want the whole relationship thing, I find it ridiculous to push the subject further. So I let it be, and I try to get my feelings across, but if I can't, then I let it go. Call me a fool, call me whatever you like, but I find that the safest way to save myself without added disappointment.
