Catori Elizabeth Callaghan: Catori and Quinn grew up on neighboring plots of land in Ireland and with Cat's dad and Quinn's moms being so close they spent the better part of their life together. Over the years they have formed an unbreakable bond, backed up by countless adventures and mischievous schemes. Growing up all 3 parents helped with watching the children and have even taken family vacations all together. Finding out that they were going to Hogwarts together was the most exciting news for Quinn and although they were separated into different houses, he still spends as much time as he can with her. Their time at Hogwarts has only fueled their creativity and friendship.

Quinn loves to be around people and is extremely extroverted.

He loves to be the life of the party, and he has a wonderful sense of humor paired with a very charismatic personality. He has a sincere eagerness to meet and get to know other people which is sometimes welcomed, but it can sometimes lead him to accidentally push people's personal boundaries. His genuine interest in others often means that he tries to bring them together any way that he can, and he loves to party and make sure everyone is having a good time. Despite being friendly and welcoming, Quinn may be quick to judge those that are unnecessarily rude, attack others (physically or verbally) or even just have an unpleasant vibe. He can be very cold towards those people and will often shoot them dirty looks. He is also very adamant about being original and being true to yourself, so if someone insults him he is likely to just brush it off and take the high road. If one of his friends is attacked, though, he is unlikely to be as composed and will almost certainly lash out.

His burning curiosity and short attention span often get him into trouble, as he would much rather be exploring Hogwarts or talking with friends than studying. This causes his grades to suffer, barely scraping by in most subjects, and Cat has to tutor him constantly. Overly complicated and structured courses, such as required potions and history of magic, tend to give Quinn the most trouble. One of Quinn's greatest flaws is his blatant disregard for the rules, and it doesn't couple well with his poor grades. It's not necessarily that he goes out of his way to rebel against authority. However, if he wants to do something that the rules don't allow, such as sneaking around at night or skipping classes to see the tower roof in daylight, he won't hesitate to do what he wants in spite of the rules. If he is struggling (in class, emotionally, etc.) he won't ask for help, which can lead him to bottle everything inside until the stress explodes in unwanted ways.

Quinn is also blunt to a fault, as he feels it isn't worth lying about anything, regardless of other people's feelings. Unfortunately, it has led to many hurt feelings and even some broken friendships. He has absolutely no issues telling someone everything he thinks about them, including both good and ugly thoughts.

TL;DR: Quinn loves having fun, making friends and learning more about others, but will shut someone down if they are unnecessarily rude. He's pretty bad in most of his classes and tends to ditch to do his own thing instead of studying. He's very blunt and will tell it to you like it is.

Before Hogwarts Letter

Quinn had a very happy childhood. He was born and raised on several acres of land on the coast of Ireland and, much to his luck, right next to the Callaghan residence. Will and Cat Callaghan were just as much family to Quinn as his mothers were and he often called William "Pa" in the same way that Cat referred to Cait and Aya as her mothers. The three parental figures all had a very large impact on who he is now; Aya taught him how to be a hardworking individual and to keep his body healthy, Cait taught him to enjoy life to its fullest and always try to maintain a spirited attitude and Will taught him to love and respect all walks of life and people. He and Cat learned many difficult lessons growing up together, but always came out happy in the end.

Quinn and Cat would spend their days exploring, making up new adventures, and getting into all sorts of trouble. They have been there for each other through thick and thin, Cat especially stepping up to the plate when Quinn's grandfather died.

When they were about 8, Quinn's mother Aya received a letter, informing her that her father had passed away and left the better part of his will to her, his only child. This had her absolutely heartbroken as she had cut him out of her life when he disapproved of her marriage to Cait and had not gotten the chance to care for him through the duration of his illness or to even say goodbye. The guilt she felt pushed her into a severe depression and she ended up leaving her quidditch team and becoming bedridden. During this part of his life Quinn became very familiar with the words "Mama is having a bad day today, why don't you go outside and play with Cat?" He would always feel a sense of hopelessness during this time. Cat and him would make her gifts out of flowers and cards in an attempt to make her feel better, but she never truly recovered until a year later when they took a family trip to her hometown in Japan and she was able to find closure. This whole part of his life left him feeling like he was useless and he never wanted to feel that way again, now he tries to keep the people around him happy and will go out of his way to support and be there for others.

Post Hogwarts Letter

Quinn had expected his Hogwarts letter, but was still over the moon when it arrived and was even more ecstatic when Cat got hers only a couple of weeks later. He knew his way around magic petty well since he grew up in a very magical household, and he planned on furthering his knowledge of magic and pursuing a magical career. Of course, that's not the first thing that comes to an 11 year old's mind when they think about Hogwarts and he was most excited to learn about the school itself and explore it.
His first two years were a breeze and he made it a goal to acquaint himself with many of the students. As the years got harder, though, he struggled more and let the stress get to him. He hopes to do better academically during his 5th year, but he is a little unsure. All the same, he is excited to be back at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
