Description Street Fighter X Tekken PokeCard Project

So this is the quick spec sheet that I came up with for my collaboration partner. He's basically clueless to the entire Pokemon TCG, so I had to basically lay out a base diagram/idea for him. He's doing the Tekken characters.

Dude, this looks great! I also love that you've thought of how to incorporate the evolution line (Alpha, beta etc). Looking forward to seeing the rest!

Thanks man! I've only played the original tcg (back where there were only 150 Pokemon and Mew). I have no clue what's going on with the cards or Pokemon in general now, so I'm just sticking with what I know/knew haha.

I did as well, then my bf got me back into the current build. To put it simply, YOU'RE DOING IT RIGHT. Only thing I would alter is the HP strength -- strong Pokemon average 120 - 150HP, very few instances go over (i.e. a new Mewtwo EX will be 170HP, its as overpowered as hell etc). Maybe reconsider the damage (i.e. with Sagat right now, for roughly the same energy cost, there's 20 dmg points different. Maybe bring Tiger Uppercut down to 50, but keep Tiger Cannon the same).

I'm not 100% familiar with SF, so if your friend needs help on Tekken's side (or if either of you need help with the card game etc) I'm happy to pitch in where I'm able.

Thanks for the input! Yeah I did a little research and found some plant-turtle looking pokemon had 200 hp. As far as hp is concerned, ONLY Oni would have 180 hp...because he's powerful as hell and he'd only have Omega cards (I'm guessing he'd be banned from tournament play lol). I'm not sure what my friend would do with the hp on the Tekken side. I would probably only make Azazel and True Ogre with 170-180 hp on the Tekken side. My idea of the SF hp hierarchy would be Oni(180)>Evil Ryu(150-160)>Seth/Juri/Akuma(130-150)>Bison(120-140)>Ryu/Sagat/most of the other characters(100-130)>Chun-Li/Blanka/Sakura/other characters(80-110)>Dan(60-70, but he would have to have really creative attacks and/or *Excel Powers). Sagat's base attack does 60 damage with no conditions for 3 energy cards is because that's his Omega "maxed out" card, but he does have an active cost (my way of balancing out the stronger cards to a degree). They're not written in stone and I'm sure I will tweak each card even more once I get more cards finalized.

No worries! And yeah that's the only one with 200HP, as I said not many are over 150HP, especially because there are items to boost it (i.e. "Expert Belt", +20HP and +20 attack strength, but take the opponent takes two prizes when the pokemon its equipped to is knocked out).

As for Azazel and Ogre, not sure. Ogre > True Ogre could work but yeah. Jinpachi is another that can be in etc. FUCK YEAH JURI :hear: And I'm glad you've thought this out.

Ok see I've never even heard of Expert Belt, I remember Defender, Potion, Super Potion and Super Defender(?) and that's it lol. True Ogre is stronger than Ogre though. Someone fuses with normal Ogre to become True Ogre, I think it was Kazuya maybe? I can't remember the story of Tekken 3 that well. Ha yeah I've thought it out a good bit. Thanks for all of the advice! I'm gonna try to finish up 2-3 cards a week.

Expert Belt wasn't around in the first series. Here's the card itself: [link]

There's a bunch of newer cards around, such as:

Copycat -- [link]
Oak's New Theory (like "Professor Oak" but better) -- [link]
Mr Briney's Compassion -- [link]
Cynthia's Feelings -- [link]

The way that the TCG tends to work is there's one Pokemon (or two), they work together (i.e. one to trainer lock opponents or increase the energy feed, and the other just attacks and attacks and attacks. The card flow needs to be constant, which is why cards like that exist.

Kazuya was dead before Ogre could get to him. Ogre isn't known to truly absorb anybody, the only known victim (person he attacked) is Baek Doo San. Good luck!

Those supporter cards are interesting, thanks for the links. You and your bf still play the TCG? I remember I used to play with a fighting/psychic deck of base pokemon that didn't have to evolve to do solid damage. I was more into a "rushdown" tactic I suppose. My decks consisted of Hitmonchans, Hitmonlees(?), Mewtwos and other similar cards.

And yeah Kazuya never dies in Tekken, but you're right he wasn't in T3 now that I'm thinking about it. In arcade mode after you beat Ogre, I think he walks over to Heihachi's lifeless body and merges with him to become True Ogre. Let me look for the vid on youtube right quick. [link] Ok there's the link, he does merge with Heihachi to become True Ogre.

3rd in Nationals!? Holy shit haha! I really only play fighting games outside of the occasional action/adventure game. Tekken, Street Fighter, MvC, Soul Calibur and a little DoA. I'm not a competitive player as far as tournaments are concerned, but I'd say I'm pretty damn good. My mains in SF4 were Balrog and Blanka, but I haven't played that game in a really long time. My mains in Tekken 6 were/are Bryan Fury (I love him), Kazuya, Yoshimitsu, Xiayu, and Heihachi. I'm really solid with them, but I just use them for casual play against my friends, they're just fun to play with. I'm really good with Lars and Alisa though, I'd have to say that Alisa is my number one. Her combos and mix-up game seem to just be so effortless and highly effective.

I'm really good locally (against friends and random strangers in the same room) in Tekken, and just good online. I'm really good locally and online in Soul Calibur with Mitsurugi. I used to main Taki and Mitsurugi in SC3, but in SC4 it was just Mitsurugi all day every day, mainly due to me playing online like crazy and online is hyper competitive. How excited are you for TTT2?

No worries, and yes, he came third in nationals. Back in the day I loved my holographic Hitmonchan XD I now run a Charizard/Typhlosion deck.

Ah yeah it was Heihachi. I've not really focused on the older Tekken storylines for a while and am a competitive Tekken player for Tekken 6 soooo I don't really pay attention anymore >>;;
