After the emergence of En-Humans, companies and universities quickly got to work on researching this new phenomenon. Several pharmaceutical companies began work on developing serums to suppress and possibly eliminate En-human abilities, one of them being Shen Enterprises, one of Talon Corps corporate rivals. Unlike Talon Corp. which has branches in numerous divisions and resources, Shen Enterprises specializes in medical research and bio engineering. They are the top company in their field, and their products are used in almost every medical field and facility in the world. So, if any company had a chance of creating a serum to remove En-Human abilities, it was Shen Enterprises. Numerous trials went underway, but because the En-Human condition was still new, very little was known about it. Many test trials resulted in having no effect or having negative side effects. On the fifth trial, researchers found that the trial serum actually produced the opposite effects and enhanced the En-Humans abilities drastically. This was Atlas-5, a compound that directly affects the cells that were infected by the En-Human gas and in simple terms, supercharges them. This allowed an en-human to perform feats they normally couldn't do on their own, making them incredibly powerful. One injection of Atlas-5 can last about ten to fifteen minutes before it begins to wear off and another injection is required. While it may seem like an amazing drug, it does come with some serious drawbacks. The drug is highly addictive, and the more an en-human uses, the larger the dosage they'll need in each injection. It doesn't take long before they become completely dependent on the substance. Another serious side effect is that the larger the dose, the quicker the burnout. The burnout process can be incredibly dangerous, as it can lead to putting a user into a comatose state, and even organ failure. It is also important to not that Atlas-5 only affects En-Humans that were created by the gas from both the Nebula and the Catalyst Incident, those like Omega and Crimson Glory would not gain a boost of power from taking it, as their abilities came from different sources. As such, Atlas-5 was considered a failure and stored away future study while research continued on a compound to neutralize the En-human genome. However, while no official statement has been made, Shen Enterprises did experiences a robbery in which several vials of Atlas-5 were stolen, an internal investigation is underway, with the hope that the vials can be recovered before they fall into the wrong hands
