Diva was an archeologist and explorer hoping on establishing herself in her field despite some of the jab and disparaging remarks from some of her colleague. Still she sought to prove herself able to keep up with others and have her research accredited and acknowledge. That ambition ran afoul when her exploration in Teotihuacan's ruined temples reveal an alien origin behind their creation though not all was quiet. Forced to wear a ceremonial mask, she was infused with alien DNA and subsequently abandoned in the ruin to test her mettle. She proved her strength soon enough as she mutated into an alien hybrid brimming with power and madness called, Deva.

One of the bonus profiles here, some might recall Diva from the holiday gifts of last year. She is a character created by Xylem which used the concept of Sergals as a basis. Of course, she is not anything like the common one being an alien hybrid sort her biology is now neither quite human or sergal. Instead a rolling powerhouse of muscle and madness that is a far cry from the human side. Xylem has done two comics attempting to present her origin, but is still ironing things out. With his permission, I've gotten the opportunity to do some artistic license work with the concept.
