aka Batman 2.0aka Nightwing!Batman
aka The Only Dick Without A Cowl
You can blame ~genesischant for this. Every time he would upload one of his amazing dickgrayson!batman redesigns I would suddenly be motivated to work on this.
I wanted to go with a sleeker design for the acrobat, with a more streamlined suit (less spandex, more versatile) and a less unwieldy cape, and a new, cooler logo design.
This picture went over about a zillion revisions, with all kinds of people contributing, fangirls and DC fans alike bonded together to help me with this picture. Much love to all of you.

Seriuosly its a cool costume. But somehow, it doesn't scream 'BATMAN'. Call me old skool cause batman without his cowl juz isnt batman.

I dunno, this cape seems more cumbersome due to it's strange design... Not crazy about the Batwomanesque mask either, but over all, I love this! Very beautiful!

I'm not a huge follower of the Batman universe, but I was linked this and holy crap, it has to be one of the coolest costumes I've ever seen. I love how the logo spreads onto the shoulders, and the wings-shaped cape.

I don't know if you saw it yet, but Project: Rooftop FINALLY put up the first round of results. You were stone cold robbed, is what I'm saying. This design is much better than many of those posted. I didn't get mine up either, so I may be biased...

This is a very well thought out design. You can tell it was revised plenty. I think this one has the best iconic/new balance.

I... I do like batman. He's like, my favorite mainsteam hero! Also, I like Christian Bale. A lot. And from the animated series (one of them, anyway) I had the biggest childhood childhood crush on Dick Grayson. But unfortunetly... I don't know anything deeper than the names of the characters. Also I don't get into the whole debate stuff. I'm not that far gone yet. So yeah. I "kind of" like Batman?

That seems fair enough. I like the Joker myself. I was a fan before the awesome Heath Ledger version though, just in case you think I'm just one of the hundreds and thousands who likes repeating five catchphrases from TDK.
Also, Batman is more respectable than Spider-man, so kudos to you.

i agree that it would be out of character for dick to become batman. i read a pretty good argument for tim to become the bat. personally i think we are going to get a reign of the superman style event with several batmen.

I like that the cowl is absent. I thought about that with my design, but it just didn't look like Batman to me.

It looks great, I seriously love his hair and his outfit is very sleek. Thus, making it easier for him to move and when he needs to chat with Robin he won't have to turn his entire body. 
I'm one of the people wishing that they make a Batman Beyond movie at some point. :[

Yeah, I would use their critiques more if I was less of a complete fool design-wise. I think I only did this one because I accidentally stumbled onto something good. I'm terrible at designing anything, hence the immense proportions of fanart.

It's still really early in the round, so I'm a little worried about what people will crank up. And a lot of the designs so far I really like - I'm really impressed with that you did with the cape, really.

I did not like the cowl myself, and choose to leave it out of the design. It's hard for dick to express his flavor with it on, I think. Looks a little too much like old batman.

Dick is my favorite member of the bat family.
(Though in my opinion, the fight for the cowl doesn't make sense - Dick wouldn't want to be Batman, he's been trying to get out of Bruce's shadow for ages.
