Description
This is the 2020 Rendition of the Kaiser of Death, Patriarch of Despair, Emperor of Destruction or also simply known as Doom King. I made his design streamlined to put animators at ease. His old design has so much patterns that it would be tedious to animate him moving. His face was also detailed too so he wears a mouthguard to hide it. Doom King is around 8 feet tall. He wields a two handed Falchion but for being a big man, he wields it one handed with ease. He has a large evil left hand that has a living red glowing eye and it can shoot purplish Gauntlet Blasts. He wears a Superhuman Battle Armor which is a remnant of his past as the Co-Captain of the old flagship Superhuman squadron, the 95th Squadron. His armor has a crude designation "#2" on it which signifies as the 2nd person to transcend to super-humanity. The Lich found the Silver Catalyst Comet in the Land of Ooo so many centuries ago and siphoned enough silver to later imbue Doom King's armor despite having the similar dark colored hue as his original armor. The hip, groin and upper leg plates are added by Doom King himself to give a "knightly" look of his overall appearance. He even has a chain cloth covering the sides and the back of his head.

His crown originates from Conquest, one of the Four Horsemen who had appeared on Earth some time after the Mushroom Bombs exploded around the Earth. Prismo's Boss summoned out the Horsemen to carry out what's written on the Revelations but Conquest, upon leaving Earth, was surrounded by goo monsters and the other three horsemen left him behind for dead; Conquest's replacement is Pestilence. The Lich found the crown of the dead Horseman and gives it to Raymond Metris, the captain before becoming the nefarious Doom King. In fact, the Lich didn't alter a single thing to the crown because the malevolent powers somewhat shares his.

Backstory

Raymond Metris is born a clone of the scientist responsible of the Superhuman Programme named Norman Baxter. The scientist had done this because his real son died from a freak accident. For years, he has been in the Stasis Cell for far too long, longing to leave the cell as soon as possible. He had gotten his wish because of Winston Cerdansa. Winston was hired as an assistant despite the job listing being long expired. As soon as Norman checks his blood sample, his blood contained all of the things needed for humanity to transcend. He first tested his clone with the serum he reverse engineered from Winston's blood and he finally got out of the cell. After years of testing, Raymond shows drastic improvements which is ruled out as being transcended from humanity.

Decades later, the Superhuman serum is now accepted and moderately used in the military. Superhumans were used to be humans who have transcended and one of their main purposes were to protect humanity and fight. Only a hundred thousand Superhumans existed as the Mushroom Bombs took the heaviest toll on Earth thus ceasing the act of human transcendence. Raymond wanted to thank Winston for his freedom but he didn't know how until he accidentally stumbled upon the Cerdansa Clan Room in one of their campaigns. He managed to enter inside because his blood is mixed with Winston's blood back then. Upon reaching the end of the room, he found the book called Istoria a Cerdansa and read it. He discovered that his father was tainted in Demon Blood by one of Hunson Abadeer's minions and the evil lord wanted one of them to be the new Lord of the Nightosphere. There are even recordings from Benedict and Mathias about fighting a losing battle against Hunson and Mathias's lament about the "destiny set in stone" and wishes to break Hunson's fate for him. With that, Raymond has found a way to thank Winston but he doesn't know how he can break that predestined fate.

He contemplated that thought until 2150 where he met the Lich and the Lich offered him the Crown of Conquest. All it takes for Raymond to take it was two choices; Lich said "Would you rather serve the dead or rule with an iron fist" and Raymond took the offer to rule. The entire 95th Squadron are nearby and the newly crowned Raymond returned and killed but one Superhuman in the vicinity. He'd let the last one survive so everyone on Huntsland (United States of America) will know that their country will be taken over by Raymond under a new moniker, Doom King. In turn, he finally has the power that can make his "thank you gift" possible but he had to endure the internal suffering of forcibly devastating everything in his and the Lich's way.
