Description
MAJOR SPOILERS FOR ANYONE WHO HAS NOT READ DEATHLY HALLOWS!First Row L to R: Nymphadora Tonks, Dobby, Hedwig, Colin Creevey, & Peter Pettigrew
Second Row L to R: Cedric Diggory & Fred Weasley
Third Row L to R: Remus Lupin & Lily Evans Potter
Four Row L to R: Sirius Black & James Potter
Last Row L to R: Alastor Moody, Albus Dumbledore, & Severus Snape
I drew them how they would perfer themselves after Death. Thus they would want to look like they did when they were Happiest. That is why Peter Pettigrew is young and fatter. Mad-Eye Moody has all his body parts back (I know I drew him weird looking, tried to draw Movie Moody). Remus Lupin is without scars, but with grey hair since his Happiest moments would be with Tonks and Teddy. Even though Harry was not nor turned out to be like James, I picture Sirius Black Happiest while he was Harry's only relative. Of course Dumbledore would not be younger because after what happened with Grindelwald and his sister, I beleive he wasn't truely happy until Harry arrived at Hogwarts.
EDIT: I have been working on this since I finished the book on August 1, 2007. Original size was a bitch!

Him and Remus and Tonks. I'm sorry, but I had to re-read that whole chapter because Tonks and Remus were just mentioned as being dead! MENTIONED! They were lying in the great hall side-by-side, hands almost (or were they touching?) touching! OMG I could not believe that any of these three were dead. It broke my heart!

I so refuse to believe Fred's dead. I think it was just a typo, and it was really Percy that died. I mean, how could she blow off George's ear then make him twinless? it's just too horrible to think about.
Beautiful piece. I absolutely love it.

It may not have been much but in my opinion Pettigrew redeemed himself enough to be included in this. I think sacrificing his life so that Harry could escape was enough.

Heh, I got beaten on all I wanted to say about Fred's death. That was the one which hurt me the most, the twins were my favorites. No dynamic duo anymore.

Yeah. If a Weasley had to die, why couldn't have been Percy? Sorry if anybody here likes him, but seriously, he was the one I would have mourned the least.

EXACTLY! I had believed that maybe, MAYBE what Percy was doing was under strict orders from Dumbledore. Like a spy for the Order on the inside, but no. When I found out it was only because Percy was being stupid as fuck, yeah I wanted him to die. So yeah, why couldn't it have been Percy?

FoxBluereaver In reply to Seraphyne [2010-04-14 18:20:41 +0000 UTC]
Looking on the bright side, though, Percy will have to carry some survivor's guilt for the rest of his life. In a way, Fred's death will most likely serve as a punishment of sorts for Percy, so he will not value his work over his family anymore.

Awe, Thank you so much for seeing in this what I felt as I painted it. The Harry Potter world seemed so much more real to me then NEthing else, so this was what I could do to honor the fallen.
I sobbed like a baby throughout the seventh book. I reread several passages, because I simply refused to believe that certain people died. I remember reading the the moment when Harry uses the stone to call his father and friends and I kept thinking, NO! No Remus Lupin did not die... So I had to go back and search for the part where it said he did.

I know! My mind refused to accept Sirius and Remus being gone until I forced myself to sit and reread both moments in both books and then the stone scene three or four times. It was just so tragically horrible. D':

Yes it was.
I remember reading Order of the Phoenix for the first time. I was too stunned to even read further. I cried, the first time for a character in a BOOK. Of course Half-Blood Prince had me bawling for Dumbledore. Deathly Hollows was just one huge sob fest >.<

I screamed at the book for a good ten minutes at OotP, but when Dumbledore died, I literally pitched HBP across the room. I thought to myself that it was SO wrong she was killing off all my favorites;
and mind you, the only favorite of mine who lived through the damn series was Neville. :'<

Such a beautiful tribute! I was shocked when Fred died because I didn't want either him or george to die and I didn't want Lupin to die because he was the only FRIENDLY link that he had to his parents.

I know... I was really surprised at how Rowling wrote Lupin in the seventh book. I mean if you think about his character throughout the other books, his performance/actions in the seventh just don't add up... I mean I don't think the sensitive person that he was at Hogwarts, the bookish guy he was growing up and all that jazz, would try to abandon the first person who loved him for him and was having his child.
I'm just saying that killing Fred, Lupin, and Tonks wasn't the only part of Deathly Hallows that doesn't fit with the rest of the series, you know?

Tell me about it...not only that she didn't even show us how Remus or Tonks died, we got about 2 lines of them lying lifeless in the Great Hall!

Seraphyne In reply to sofimac16 [2007-12-20 13:04:33 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, I had to re-read that part because later (When Harry's going to meet Voldy) we see that Remus comes back with James, Lily & Sirius..... But she never actually states that they were killed, you have to assume because that's where all the dead are and they just happen to be close to where Fred was lying.... I mean when I first read that part (granted I tried to read it slower than usual) I thought they (Tonks & Lupin) were there for the Weasley Family, you know to give moral support... Then later I'm told that Remus is dead... I had to go back and read between the lines on that.
BTW - Rowling said that Lupin was killed by Dolohov and Tonks was killed by Bellatrix... Which makes sense on Tonks' part cause they were cousins...
