Thanks. Self portrait from a photo someone took on their phone on 'mufti-day' (day-we-don't-wear-uniform), and I was wearing my WW2 great-coat and reflective lennon glasses... some thought this unusual for some reason...

Very nice! It made me think of Lennon as soon as I saw it.
We are somewhat similar in our likes.

Thank you. Self portrait from a photo of me someone took on their phone on 'mufti day' (non-school-uniform-day). I wore my WW2 greatcoat and my lenon reflective glasses.

Quirkiness is one thing madness another. I enjoy the former, and am a constant attempting but failing fugative of the latter.
I associate the former with 'creative types', and the latter with plain old confusion, and thinking far too far outside the box, so that little makes sense, reality is too easily mistaken for non-reality, and reality is more a catch-phraze than a noun. (My dream about discovering I'd killed people thinking I'd killed someone else worries me, as I often find that while I'm thinking of something in my mind, after a blink or two (generally trying too hard not to think of doing it) I am doing it... and end up doing things I didn't think I was doing etc... I'm more violent at present than I can ever remember being (not by choice I dare say), so now's a worrying time for me.
But that was no doubt intended as a quick fun comment, so sorry for the ramble.

i think the line between quirkiness and madness is a bit more blurred than you describe. i consider myself mad, but people see it as quirkiness. my brightly coloured art may mask my dark emotions from the outside, but they are still there.
I think the confusion and deep thinking that you talk about is the reason why so many artistic people are so prone to depression? maybe.. just my 2c
