Indeed. I like to deliberately feed them in front of people who hate them.
I find it upsetting when people call them "Rats with wings" when most feral rock dove populations (and rodents too) are in urban areas because of humans.

Oh! That's a nice trick! Fortunately, I don't live in an urban or rocky area. It's mostly hills and towns. So we get mostly big birds, like buzzards, crows, ducks, and hawks, and some small birds that live in roofs or trees, like swallows. Not many small ones because our roofs were made to direct water down and they like to build nests with babies in them before the spring rain. Lots of dead babies in our lawn. ;-; Oh, yeah, and cats.
Did you know rock doves mate for life? They're fascinating creatures, the perfect example of human coevolution in the wild. That's to say nothing of the rats. Rats are intelligent creatures. They get a bad rep because of the fleas that are attracted to them. The Bubonic Plague was caused by fleas, so the rats were just as much a victim as the humans. But since they blamed rats, and rats are small and skittish, their reputation is so far down the drain it's in the ocean now. Ha To be fair, their droppings and presence can ruin a home value at the very least, at the most ruin food or spread disease because, again, they live in a diseased habitat/have fleas and have no flea medicine like human pets do.
But if you really want to talk about a diseased animal, look no farther than the bat. They're pretty and extraordinarily useful, but they're the largest carriers of rabies in the world. I actually got to witness a "bat cave" that was set up in an old apartment block (this apartment complex had blocks of houses with streets between them like beehives) at late dusk. You could see one fly out, then two, then five, then ten, and suddenly there's a swarm flying overhead, squeaking and zipping through the night. No matter your opinion on bats, that was a spectacle.

Those are some nice visitors that you get!
Seeing a pair of rock doves is pretty cute. A lot of birds mate for life, too (though some are cheaters )
I used to live in a house infested with rodents. I agree that they're not too great in a home, no. I do appreciate them in a more natural setting.
I like bats! Unfortunately, they're difficult subjects for photography but they're great to watch.

Yeah, hawks are fascinating to watch. I never noticed how ominous their circling was or their really cool screeches until my sister got baby ducks and I had to stay outside as a scarecrow while they played in a kiddie pool. We once had a good three or four flying in our neighborhood at once. Or how the vultures are really attracted to road kill, so we've nearly hit quite a few of them. They're enormous, so I'm pretty sure our cute little car would get damaged worse than those things! Haha
My grandfather had a mouse infestation...Those chemicals and traps that are on the shelves are horrifying. Pets like cats, snakes, and dogs are the most humane treatment.Β Most dogs. My grandfather's dog tried to eat my sister's guinea pig, but just didn't bother chasing after the mice at her own house. Crazy.
Bats can't glide so they, like the adorable little sparrows and swallows, are a chore to photograph. I can totally agree on that.

Nice ! I really like how you made the feathers but I think that a little less green on the branch would have been better
