Whew! This one was a bit of a challenge, since I'm not used to drawing canines. XD
The first two planning sketches looked absolutely horrific, but not in a good way. Finally landed a solid sketch on the third try, and he ended up looking pretty nifty in the end! X3
He was a really interesting character, and Corgi mapped out the details very thoroughly in her reference sketch, which helped a lot.
This was done with charcoal pencils for the most part, a little bit of colored pencil, and some minor "post-production" tweaking using my image editor.

Yeah, the background was influenced by Stephen Gammell. I had debated on doing a lot more with it, but I wasn't sure if "too much tree" would detract from the character or not, so I kept it minimal. Ended up looking more three-dimensional than I expected too, despite how light it is. XD

Based on the character description, I was trying to make him look as intimidating as possible using the hunched pose and the hazy, snowy background. Like he was on the hunt.
I also think it's kind of hilarious that we both uploaded within an hour of each other, lol. XD
