Description Chapter 2.

Tuesday, April 10, 2012 Was the very night my life had taken a turn. At the time, I wan't sure if it was a turn for the better or worse. I was just finishing pulling homemade cookies out of the oven for Lissette and myself, when I found myself falling. I squeezed my eyes shut and braced for the impact. After what seemed like years of waiting and feeling nothing, I slowly opened my eyes.
What I saw was breath-taking. Before me was a lake, mountains, all that beautiful scenery that is impossible to find in Nebraska. As I reached out to touch the sparking and ominously clear water of the lake, the water suddenly changed its colour. It had seemed to fade into each and every colour thought possible, then fade to black. Not even a clear, gray-ish black. It was a black that was darker than any black I had seen before. It made the lake look... solid.
"What're you doing, young miss?" I could recognize that voice from anywhere. The laughter, whispering...
"What do you want from me?" I snapped. I was sick of this crap, being woken up in the middle of the night. "Do you find pleasure in torturing me, scaring me out of my skin?"
"I never meant to scare you... But, glad to know I'm capable of doing so when I don't try." The voice chuckled out.
When I looked around, I couldn't see anywhere where the voice could have came from. I looked back at the lake, only to find it missing. Everything seemed to have a dark mist surrounding and covering it. "Where are you?"
"Turn around." I did as the voice told me, and saw a child, no more than 6 years old staring up at me. It didn't look quite as a boy or a girl. It looked quite creepy either way.
"..Who are you?" I choked out.
"So many questions, so little time, Ambrosia. But I suppose I should tell you my name, so it will be easier to communicate," It grinned widely. "My name is Azra."
"How did you kn--"
"I know everything about you," She interrupted. "It's time for you to return back to your dear Lissette. Ambrosia, I'll see you soon. Oh so very soon, my dear," She had said, taking on the exact voice as my father's had been as he lay dying.
Everything that happened next was a blur. I had awaken in the real world again from my strange dream to people hauling me away on a gurney. I sat up with a start as soon as I realized what was going on. "Lissette? Where are you?" I didn't see her for a minute, which was plenty of time for my hopes of seeing her again to be shattered. Your mind can play tricks on you once you've been through what I have.
"Ambrosia! I'm right here!" She yelled back at me from across the yard. The people hauling me away were relentless, they were determined to get me into that ambulance.
"Guys, I don't need to go to the doctor. I'm perfectly fine, I just passed out is all," I tried persuading them. When they refused to stop, I simpily hopped off the gurney and went back inside with Lissette, not caring what they did.
"Are you okay? Don't you scare me like that again!" Said Lissette, obviously still in panic mode.
"I'm fine, Lissy. I'm just a little tired is all," I reassured her as I grabbed a cookie and went upstairs to go to sleep. "I'll be asleep if you need me."
