The manga he is from is called Magic Kaito, wirrten by the same creator of Case Closed, /aka/ Detective Conan.Phantom theif 1412 , or The Phantom Theif Kid
is a master thief, who is the best magician on the planet as well as quick change artist. He learned everything he knows includeing how to be a thief from his father who was killed by the same syndicate that poisned Jimmy Kudo.
I saw the anime where he appears in the Case Closed series, and fell in love with him.

If you like Kaito Kid (kid the phantom thief) i sugest going to a video site (ie: youtube) and type in:
'Detective conan episode 515' or 'detective conan episode 537-538'.
BEST KID EPISODES EVER!!!!!!!!!
If you read the manga: ep515 is kid's teleportation and ep537-538 is kid breaking into a bogytrap safe.

Kaito Kid is my most favourite anime character.
I love the show Detective Conan.
I just hate the english dub.
So, for those who watch the english...
SWITCH TO JAPANESE WITH SUBS!!!!!
Reason:
the english version change all the names and make conan sound... bad.
and Kaito kid, if you continue in the japanese he comes back in episode 132-134, 219, 356, 394-396?, 469, 515 and 537-538.
And... if you contine in the japanese dub, new character are introduced that- hint- progress conan's dilima:
Antidote to his smallness.

Have you heard of Magic Kaito? It the series the author did before DC. As the title says: it's about Kaito Kid.
Anyway,
ova 1 is a chapter in that series. With a few more characters (DC characters)
ova 2 is also a chapter in that series (with DC characters)
ova 6 is original. and kaito only apears at the end.

Nice! Why is it that thieves are always my favorite? First Red X, then Zuko as the Blue Spirit, now this dude. I can't even see his face, but I just know he is awesome! I like his little smirk.
Is there any place online where I can get Case Closed episodes dubbed or with subtitles? I remember watching it when I was ten at midnight on Adult Swim, but I forget most of the plot and characters because I was half awake most of the time.
