Life was peaceful and quiet, that's how it went down
In the daily routine of our calm little town,
That was just how things were, and it's how they would stay
Until everything changed on that one special day;
It was right at Midsummer, not early or late
When we learned we'd all had an appointment with fate,
Not a man or a boy felt a twinge of a thrill
When we first saw a stranger ride over the hill;
We were used to the visits of strangers, of course
So we were not surprised by the sight of his horse,
Then our sharp-eyed town lookout cried out, "I declare!"
As he noticed the stranger's two feet were both... bare!

Now in these parts that's something that seldom was seen
No guys barefooted here past the age of nineteen,
Past each twentieth birthday, society's dues
Made us always wear boots, or else tight pointy shoes;
And the stranger was no callow boy, we could see
It was clear that his age was at least twenty-three,
One by one each dude uttered a gasp of near-fright
As the stranger's big barefeet came into his sight;
All the men and boys stared as he rode down the street
But the stranger just wriggled those bare massive feet,
We all gathered around as he stopped in the square
Looked us all up and down, then we heard him declare;

"I'm the Barefootin Tickler," was his mighty call
"Dudes, I've come to your town to foot-tickle you all!
As I travel around, north and south, east and west
Barefeet-tickling is just what I love to do best;
See, big ticklish bare tootsies are so wicked cool
All my life I've just been a big barefootin fool,
And there's nothing that's better, it just feels so right
Driving barefoot dudes CRAZY with ticklish delight!
Barefoot-tickling's terrific; before I get done
I'll have ALL you guys laughing and loving the fun,
Now it's time to begin spreading tickle-foot joys
Starting with barefoot, ticklish, eighteen-year old boys!"
