Well, I think the scene would be something like this: I'm at home in peace (there have been shouts on the roof, but it's not unusual, so I'm not worried). Well, it's morning and it's time to start cleaning; I think I'll open all the windows to let in some light, to start. First window, oh, a kitten on the windowsill of the neighbor, how cute! Second window, my favorite: what a beautiful view of the market! Third window, the one overlooking the alley, two Assassins perched in place of pigeons; fourth window ... I stop. I go back. Yes, no, it wasn't a hallucination: there are two Assassins clinging to the cornice. They fight. I think one just bit the other's hand. They froze when I opened the window and are still still, staring at me as I go back.
I look at them, they look at me.
" 'Morning" tells me one of the two, sketching an embarrassed little smile.
"Don't scream, please," hurries to beg the other.
"No, no, I will not scream" I reply: "provided that you answer a question"
"Why we're perched here, are not we?"
"No, what really interests me is knowing how you intend to extricate yourself and get off from up there"
The two exchange a look, then look down, look up, and return to look at each other.
I lean on the windowsill, the cleaning of the house can wait: this show is going to be interesting.
