but unless dictated in the music, the bow hair should remain between the bridge and the fingerboard. The bow should always be parallel to bridge.
the position of your wrist would also make playing fast passages very difficult. The violin should be held between the edge of your check and shoulder (a shoulder pad or sponge can help give extra support) so that you aren't holding with the left hand)

A very beautiful drawing, but as a Violinist/Violist myself I can't help but be bothered by her grasp on the frog. That arrangement gives no leverage and makes it nearly impossible to bow with any vigour or accuracy.
It just bugs me, is all, and probably most others out there who know what they're doing on a bowed instrument.
