Description
Dante grinned, seeing the piles and piles of gold at his feet. He chuckled, not caring how he'd obtained it, but having it felt GRAND."Stupid Cyrus and hiss damn morals" he tossed gold in the air, throwing it forward as if he had a Pat day attack, but the coins were zapped out of thin air. He frowned, confused. The coins vanished completely, the scene just black and nothingness. Dante's shoulders drooped.
"Cyrus!" the ghost pokemon was zapped awake. Dante's eyes widened and he sat up. His shoulders sagged in irritation. but that was all.
".....Dante?", the pikachu questioned ,"What's wrong? Aren't you gonna hit me?" He asked, troubled. He was standing at Dante's feet, looking up at him. He waddled up closer to his face, standing on the makeshift 'cloth torso' of his puppet body.
Dante shook his head. "I feel-," his mouth opened, his eyes tightened. His mouth opened more. Cyrus stood, confused, until he realized what was going on. His ears perked and he darted out of the tent as the shuppet sneezed, sending a large Shadowball into the side of the tent, into the snow, and showering Cyrus head to toe in white.
"I think I'm sick . . . " He felt awful. He felt congested and was just freezing, yet his temperature was over the roof.(which isn't saying much, considering how little room they need for the time being)
Cyrus blinked his little blue eyes opened and curried inside, looking aside at the hole in the tent. "I don't think that helps our cause . . . " and frowned, looking up to see his never-really-friendly, friend wrapping up tightly in his blankets and shivering. "I'll get you to Doctor Kaiser immediately!"
--- The Medical Tent
Cyrus took in his friend, wrapped in blankets and carried in a wheelbarrow.(broken from the disaster, well more specific "Dante's sneeze") The wheelbarrow was a bit taller than him, these factors making it quite a trouble to get his partner there. Cyrus took breaks, the contraption making his friendly efforts quite exhausting. Cyrus watched the other Pokémon, whom were also either sick or cold, which reminded him about how cold it really was outside. He looked up at the sky, seeing the snow and chills.
"Cyrus get me to the damn doctor before I sneeze again!" Cyrus was up on his feet speedy as ever. He got to the hospital less than ten seconds flat, having troubles with balancing the damn thing. He watched as the place seemed nearly full, only a bed here or there, which was soon to be taken anyway. Cyrus waited until a new face appeared; it was a happiny in a nurse’s hat.
She smiled and took his friend off to be treated, leaving Cyrus to leave, only to be stopped by another staff member, Doctor Kaiser.
"Vhat are you still doing here? Ve need more medicine! go!" The large Golduck shooed him out of his way, attending to a sick patient. Cyrus' ears drooped.
"But . . ." He was never briefed on anything, what was he supposed to get?
"Don't worry I’ll help you." Cyrus turned his head to the Audino. ,"Go get seaweed from Cobalt Lake, some spore from Sapling Village, and glowing blue flowers from Creeping forest." she hurried off to her next patient. Cyrus didn't mind, and headed out before it got to crowded. "Okay, okay." He said and nodded to himself, out of Tao Village before he got that thought fully through.
--- On the way to Cobalt Creek
Cyrus trotted through the snow, hopping along. His tail bounced up and down as he quickened his pace, disliking this journey already. He wanted to talk to Dante; he almost hoped to see someone along the way.
BAM!
His head collided with something soft and something hard at the same time. Fluffy steel type? No. He bounced off into the snow, falling pathetically on his bottom. He stared up, seeing barred teeth, evil eyes, and an obvious dislike towards himself. It was a houndour.
"I'm sorry, I'm-I'm-I really-uh. . ." the Houndour smirked at the fear in the young pikachu's eyes. The canine’s expression softened to a smile and it laughed.
Cyrus pouted, staring at him irritable. He set his paws down into the snow and looked up at him with a cocked head. "What is so funny, you-" He stopped himself and looked away. The houndour had to ask. "You what?" and chuckled.
Cyrus darted into a standing position and ran off down the pathway.
--- Cobalt Lake
Cyrus smiled, slowing down to a stop at the lake and seeing the water and stepped forward into the water on all fours, preparing to swim. He jumped at the temperature, but saw the seaweed a few feet out. He frowned, seeing his soaked feet. He waded in deeper, needing it for his friend.
“What are you doing here? Seaweed I’m guessing? You’re not the first to come here for it”, said a sassy voice with a bit of a watery echo. Cyrus glanced side to side, a little confused.
“What?” Cyrus questioned, looking around until he watched something creep out of the water, a Vaporeon.
“Here, I wouldn’t want you getting hypothermia or anything.” She joked, knowing that was just a silly human thing. She slipped under the water and came back moments later with a mouthful of seaweed. Cyrus smiled. “Thank you! How did you know? Oh, right.” He said nervously, remembering her words. She nodded sweetly and put them down on the shore, stepping out of the water.
“But, aren’t you supposed to be with your partner? Like the other Rescuers?” The Vaporeon questioned.
Cyrus smirked, though it looked fake. “I’m not a rescuer, I’m a Rouge!” His eyes didn’t show the same excitement, but there was no falseness in his voice.
She laughed.
Cyrus glared. Why was everyone laughing at him? He grabbed the seaweed and turned away, heading back up the path. She watched with a frown, but he was to quick for her apology to go noticed.
Cyrus walked towards the village, his next point of interest. He now hoped to go unstopped by any Pokémon. He was tough enough, right? He glanced back with his mouthful of seaweed in irritation. ‘I could have easily taken both of those guys. Separately of course…’ He grumbled, walking quicker to get to the village soon before confronted again. He sped up and got there soon.
--- Sapling Village
Cyrus stepped into the area with a frown, seeing the Shroomish huddled around a pond near the front of the village staring at him. He turned for the forest, but remembered that he needed to be here.
“Szhoo moo haf awwey sppows?” he asked. The shroomish laughed. Cyrus took the seaweed from his mouth and repeated his question irritably. “Do you have any spores?” he asked irritably. The Shroomish were laughing still at him. He turned his head away, picked up his seaweed and headed off to another building, but stopped and looked up to see another Breloom. “Hey! Mr. Shroomsworth!” He covered his mouth, remembering that Shroomsworth wasn’t here. So who was this? His brother? Eh, whatever. Either way, he got his attention. The Breloom started to head over.
“Excuse me? I think you confused me with my brother…” and smirked. “I’m Sporegaurd, pleased to meet you”, and chuckled.
Cyrus frowned. No laughing. Please.
“Yes, yes I did.” He said in a meek voice. “I need spores, more spores.” He looked up at him, showing off his seaweed. “See? We’re low on herbs, and…and we need some spores…because! Because people are sick, sick and . . . cold.” He was a little shaky, hoping he didn’t laugh.
Sporegaurd smiled. “Don’t fret, little guy. I’ll get you some don’t worry. You know he used to live here?” Cyrus looked up. “Really?” and smiled. “That’s cool, I just got there, too Tao Village. I got there with my friend Dante. He’s sick too.” He said and walked along with him, trying to catch up without walking faster than him, exaggerating Sporegaurds lack in speed.
Sporegaurd laughed lightly, making the little mouse Pokémon tense.
“C’mon, do you need anything else?”
“I need to go get some . . . ,” he paused. “Glowing blue flowers,” and nodded, “Glowing blue flowers . . .”
Sporegaurd smiled. “We have some here, I think. We have enough to spare” and nodded, standing over a box of spores that obviously had been full earlier in the day, with half empty sacks and scattered, dropped spores.
Cyrus grinned, happy to have this available shortcut. Sporegaurd left to go get him the spores as Cyrus put the seaweed in the bag with a little under a dozen spores. He sat on his back legs and weighed it in his hands. “Hmm…” he tossed it over his bag. Sporegaurd came back with three flowers, handing them to the Pikachu.
“Thanks!” he beamed and grabbed them, holding them at his side. He looked up at Sporegaurd, happy.
“You’re very welcome.” Sporegaurd grinned, “Tell my brother I said hello!” and smiled happily.
Cyrus ran off, heading home happily with his items. Spores, flowers, and seaweed.
