EPIC SIZED FILE!!!
I didn't want to make it 2 or 3 parts, so... yeah... bear with me.

ahem...
So, after i completed her last request, [link] , ~Cenedre asked me to make a tutorial on EVERYTHING, rather than just the small-ish tut i made on markings...
to be honest, i had NO idea on how to make a proper tutorial, so i just made Lyrica's manipulation and took some screenshots as i went along...
so i guess that's called a... walkthrough, right? either way, there you go. hope it's useful!!!
please, feel free to ask anything, and to tell me if you spot any typos.

Curly/wavy effect for the mane and tail:
After the mane is nicely painted/smudged, I add a few larger strands with a brush, trying to make them look wavy. Since that doesn't quite do the trick by itself, I also take the whole thing to the liquifier and shove it around with just a little bit of strength. Then, back from the liquifier, I'll make a few "bands" with a big smooth brush ACROSS the mane (not along it, like you'd do to add new strands), alternating burning with dodging. That'll do most of the wavy effect.
