This character belongs to The-Demihuman and doubles as an icon. If anyone uses it besides him, I'll put some of their blood on a stone.Anyways, I felt absolutely awful for making you wait so long. I feel extra bad because I kept trashing sketches and claiming I wasn't. Today I decided I was going to do something completely different, so I instead decided to give you a two-for-one. Instead of a quick icon, you can have this headshot, fully colloured and shaded. The image is a perfect square, so you can save it and upload it as your icon since DA resizes non-animated icons automatically. I tested it myself and it works like a charm. I hope you don't mind that I used slightly different shades of black and orange as the way I draw kind of looked odd with the same exact shade of a colour touching. I also made the gem a stronger red rather than more orange so it would stand out. I hope that's all fine. I am very sorry about making you wait, so I hope this extra effort makes up for it!

You know, funny thing, really, I actually originally intended to make most of those orange parts red, but for some reason, I don't really have red in my current set. XD I tried coloring some parts red but got orange instead.

I actually thought that might be what you were trying to do. Personally, I think the orange is actually nice. It makes her unique from others who might want to attempt to use the same gemstone. That's what I dislike about traditional art, is when you realize that you don't actually have the colour you need. Always fun.

Maybe it's for the better I wound up with orange. I've grown accustomed to the color scheme. Especially with the yellow diamonds on the skirt. It goes better with orange than red IMO. I wanted her to look like a proper lady. Do you think it worked?

I would have to say you did a very good job. I find it difficult to make a character look noble, royal, or even aristocratic. I mean, I probably shouldn't be trying to make royalty that is a homicidal Vampyre, but aside from that notion, it isn't easy. She very much works well with being a lady and the colour scheme is probably helping quite a bit.
