Description
I've had this sitting around for ages fully coloured and shaded, but never bothered to give it a background and post it. So I went and nabbed it and threw a background on it on GIMP.

Vivian will always be my favourite character in the Mario franchise, but I love all of the Shadow Sirens and I especially love Beldam. I mean, I don't like the way she treats her own sister, but otherwise she's a very good villain. She's a twisted little shit with a wicked thought process. She's full of unexplained spite towards a number of people. I also think it's funny that she constantly comments on Mario being handsome. Despite all of the people in the Paper Mario games, especially TTYD, that like him, most NPCs in Mario games comment on him being unattractive and especially he's never really gotten attention positively towards his looks from someone who's fully a villain, so that's an entertaining trait in Beldam. Also, so does a very good job at hiding her true intentions, something that a number of villains are terrible at doing. Every time you get a villain who is much more involved in what's going on then the game wants you to think, they hide it terribly, but Beldam manages to put on well that she's not as hugely involved as she really is.

I drew this with no reference and was purposely changing a few things to take away the cartoon-like appearance a little and make her look more vicious, not that she doesn't do a good job of that on her own. So the spiked hair and the three-fingered pointy claws were my own choices. As for the hat, I wanted it to look a little more natural. The ice... I can't draw a cloud of misty ice. I tried.
