This girl has existed for a while, albeit only in text form, so it's about time she finally got her time in the light. So, here, finally I have a REAL Kirby OC.

Brief Bio: Saffron spent her entire childhood living in the wilderness. Taught at a young age how to survive the harsh wilds, she grew adapted to outdoor survival and the harsh realities of living off nature. Her parents would regularly leave her on her own to hunt for food or find shelter, and she would, if needed, stoop to low levels such as stealing it from other creatures to survive. One day her parents never returned, but the young Birdon had learned enough to keep herself going. She had never seen civilization before, at least, not up close, and while sometimes she'd steal food or materials from Cappys living on the outskirts of their village, she was too fearful of the unknown world of civilization to go close. However, one day, while stealing ingredients from Chef Kawasaki that he was preparing for a picnic, the oblivious chef grabbed hold of her instead - later claiming he "thought she was a roast chicken" - and threw her into his pot. Though she struggled to escape, she was pushed into the boiling water, and consigned herself to death when suddenly King Dedede - in a strange moment of kindness - reached into the pot bare-handed and pulled the Birdon out, badly burning himself in the process. He offered his only Maximum Tomato to her, which allowed her to fully recover, and she was grateful for him saving her life, swearing to serve him however she could to repay the favour. Welcomed into Castle Dedede as one of his staff, she had to suddenly accustom to not only civilized life, but royal life, quite quickly. She developed a closeness with Dedede - perhaps because the two clicked, or perhaps because she hadn't any friends before - and this very closeness lead to him showing a suspicious level of kindness to her as a close friend. He was patient with her where he wasn't with others, kind to her where others would be brushed aside, and showed an innate level of trust in her just as she did him. Saffron spent many years serving him, and garnered quite a lot of jealousy from Escargon over the suspicious closeness the two had, and how she seemed to get special privileges Dedede refused to allow him. Saffron would regularly help Dedede in his attempts to defeat Kirby, though admittedly it was less out of a dislike for Kirby specifically and more that she didn't like seeing Dedede upset over Kirby "stealing his spotlight". Throughout this time, however, Saffron regularly expression concern over Dedede's constant use of demons purchased from the Holy Nightmare Company, believing them to be sketchy and likely to betray Dedede when it was convenient to them. She was never able to convince him, however, and formed an uncomfortable relationship towards the Customer Service rep, who was quite aware that Saffron was both skeptical of him and aware of his underhanded tactics. Though Dedede never noticed, the two were not on good terms, and she refused to purchase anything from him or his company due to this. In the far future, Nightmare finally lost his patience over Dedede's refusal to pay his bills, and chose to have Saffron "repossessed" from him in order to pay his debt. Both to teach Dedede his place and because he needed a siege beast, he chose to turn Saffron into a demon beast - named Raging Flyvern by Customer Service - and used this very beast as his primary damage dealer in his attack on Popstar. Though Kirby was no match for the massive demonic dragon, Dedede refused to give up on the closest companion he'd ever had. Losing her had finally made him realize what he'd been doing wrong all these years, and that she was correct that he shouldn't have trusted Holy Nightmare. Dedede did everything in his power to try and get through to Saffron, and though he was nearly killed by the beast, he managed to break through Nightmare's control, turning the beast on Customer Service before she was returned to her normal form. This experience encouraged Dedede to ease up on tormenting his people so much and to spend his time enjoying the companionship of Saffron instead - though he was still Dedede at heart, which Saffron never minded.

*Fights unarmed. She primarily fires her feathers like darts, but can also swing her wings to attack.

*Very agile in the sky. While she's clumsy and awkward on the ground, she's ridiculously quick in flight, able to reach high top speeds and dodge enemies with ease.

*Doesn't like people making fun of Dedede, irregardless of whether he deserves it, and can get quite angry when he's mocked.

*Emotionally beats herself up whenever she fails Dedede, even if she fails a very mundane task.

*Really, really likes sweet foods, especially candy, though she is not a picky eater.

*While she tends to take Dedede's side in arguments, she actually likes and respects Escargon and feels sad if he thinks she hates him.

*Doesn't necessarily hate Kirby. Just doesn't like people one-upping Dedede.

*Regularly got into arguments with Customer Service over his shady business techniques and constant spying on Dedede, leading to him sending demons after her to threaten her into silence.
