"If ever you wanted to watch your enemies sink into a pit of utter misery, then there is no finer demon to help you achieve that goal than Despairodactyl. This demon beast usually won't harm a single hair on the head of its foes, but it doesn't need to, because simply by attaching itself to its enemies has it already began an irreversible process through which your enemies will quite literally defeat themselves. It feeds on the happiness of others, replacing that happiness with a feeling of true hopelessness, and you can do the math of what happens from there. Holy Nightmare is not responsible for the spiraling consequences of the damage this demon beast can cause. You should know what happens when you play with such fickle forces. And if not, then perhaps you too will feel despair."

One of my more simple demon beast designs. Not really sure why I delayed drawing it for so long, as it really isn't anything special. Shadow is a copy ability I made up, before you ask, and was meant to be the counterpart to the extremely under-used and sadly worthless light ability. You can draw the correlations of what this demon beast does to its victims, because it both should be obvious and doesn't need to be said.

Copy Ability: Shadow
Height: Varies, but normally 5'0"
Quantity: Many
Appearance: Like the silhouette of a pterodactyl's form, pitch black in colour with white eyes. But when it chooses a host, its form becomes literally the shadow of that person.
Abilities: Invisible in darkness, can attack from any distance long as there's shadows connecting itself and its foe, ties self to other beings by living in their shadow, drains away happiness and replaces it with despair.
Weaknesses: Highly weak to light ability, its life is connected to whoever its hosting off of, shares injuries with its host, cannot fight when its tied to someone else.
