My entry for 's and 's Animal Spirit Guide Contest . I know, I know! This type of media is not what I usually do, but I loved the theme so much I really wanted to try ^^ And since I don't do this kind of stuff very often, I think it's best I go for beginner ^^

The inspiration behind this is a sad personal bit. At the end of November, my depression became the worst. I'm afraid to say at certain points I was also suicidal. But then there was something watching me, saving me from putting these nasty thoughts into action, and pushing me to get back up again and keep fighting. That something, some may call it a guardian angel, but I want to believe it was a guardian dragon. Dragon's always been a big part of my life, they're so powerful and many of them hold a lot of wisdom. Fierce beasts towards their enemies, but strong protectors towards their loved ones. I'd definitely want a dragon protecting me! It's what I want to believe. Other people believe in God, I believe in dragons.

I hope the symbolism comes through with my picture. I tried to make the girl's wings look broken to show she's fallen deep and is hurt, unable to fly at the moment. But just when she hit rock bottom, her dragon spirit guide appears to help her up and fix her wings so she can fly up high again.

Remember, there will always be cruel people who love to watch us fall, who rip our wings and soul apart. There will be times when we're a wreck. But our wings can be fixed, and after a while we can get back up, spreading our wings once more and fighting even harder. What doesn't kill us only makes us stronger.
