Shadow and Red were now sleeping. It has been 5 hours since Shadow had showed her painting. I was ready to go to my room as well. "Goodnight Kadar." I said standing up from sitting on the couch. "Night." He said. "Wait a second Gaara." Gage said that. U rolled my eyes. Of course they would keep me here. "Yes?" I asked. "I... Uh..." Gage began. "Wanted to bring up a past conversation of yours, if you don't mind." Nicoli finshed for him. Past conversation? Of mine? "Will it be quick?" I asked. "Probably not, you may want to sit." Keith said. So all three of them were in on it. Well what could I do? I sat back down on the couch. Kadar gave me an apologetic smile, even though he had nothing to do with this I'm sure.

"What were you saying about gods and demons that day with Shadow?" Nicoli asked. So it was about that. "Why do you want to know?" I asked. "I don't know, were you talking about the same ones out of the Bible?" He asked. "No not your... Holy book. Something that relates to dragons... and sometimes other beings." I said. "You and Shadow are demons?" Gage asked. "Yes and no." I said. "What does that mean?" Keith asked. "Shadow is a demon, I have a demon inside of me." I said. I put my hands on my face. "I'm still confused." Gage said. "There are two types of demons. One like Shadow, just born being a demon. The other like mine, who prefer a host." I said. "Are you evil? Is Shadow?" Nicoli asked. "No, neither of us are. Just who we are if not irritating at times." I said. "Do two demons get along?" Keith asked. "That depends. Some demons are just not good to be put together, others it doesn't matter." I said. "How about you and Shadow?" Gage asked. "My demon for now is just merely curious of her. I wouldn't know for sure. That first day she turned into her full dragon form she could have been acting that way she did because she knew I was a demon as well or simply because she was feeling pain." I said.

"How about gods then?" Nicoli asked. "God is the term we dragons use when we hit our highest evolution rate." I said. "Evolution rate?" Gage echoed. "Yes. Some dragons evolve, not all do. I did but only once then I used magic to stop. Some dragons could evolve unlimited number of times." I said. "How?" Nicoli asked. "When a dragon becomes more powerful. Easy as that." I said. "Will Shadow?" Gage asked. "More than likely, her family always did."I said. "When will she be a god?" Gage asked. "It could take many years, if she does at all it isn't easy." "You're a god?" Keith asked. "Yes." Keith looked to Kadar. "Nope." Kadar said to him. "Why? What's the difference between a god and any other dragon?" Gage asked. "Now think about that yourself. What makes your God different then you?" I asked. "Higher power I guess. Abilities that we don't have." Nicoli said. "Exactly, the same with dragons." I said. "Like your abilities to control all of the elements?" Gage asked. "Yes. Not all dragons have that kind of power, especially Shadow."

I felt a presence in the room, listening. Red was awake. Shadow wasn't.I'm sure he wouldn't care but then again maybe he did. I'm sure he didn't know anything about Shadow being a demon or what it means. "Are you done with your questions?" I asked. "Yeah, thanks for answering them." Nicoli said. Without a word I got up and walked towards the stairs for my room.
