The focus is so sharp and the detail so in=depth as to make this a really good photograph. The antennae and the wing ridges come across nice and clear.
I like the fact that this is one of the more uncommon species of lepidoptera. It gives the viewer a look at a creature that is probably not in his or her environment.
The sunlight coming in from the top of the picture illuminates the scene such that the butterfly and the leaves are bathed in a mellow but not over-yellowed glow. Only the area under the leaves and on the leaf directly under the butterfly's wings is in deep shadow. The rest of the scene is well-lighted. This is good camera work.
