Been meaning to get this up for sometime, but the problem was that I gave the actual illustration to my friend from the Winnipeg Art Nights down at the Edge downtown (look it up here [link] ) to scan in for me. I just got the files yesterday, he did a fantastic job by my accord.

Anyways, I made this about 2 weeks ago, made of Copic ink, took me in total about 15-17 hours or so, a few hours for the sketch, a few more for the line art, and the last few for the actual colouring, which was hard since I only have 8 different hues of red to choose from. I made this and the original sketch on 11x17 inch paper, traced it using a light table at school. I didn't know how this would turn out in the end, but I'm really happy with this, even if it looks odd (it does, I don't care what anyone says).

Anyways, this is my character Emily Richards I've been developing for the past while (4 YEARS!). I have a fairly big story planned for her, I'll come up with a bio and reference picture for her later with colours and what not, both casual modern clothes and something close to what shes wearing now. The sword on her back is there for show, in the story I'm planning it'll be gone, replaced by something infinitely cooler. I'm still working on the gauntlet on her left hand/arm, but it's there for good reason. Big swords are cool, the sword she'll actually have in my planned story will be bigger (and smaller if that makes sense).

Please look at it carefully, and like always seeing it in person on paper is way more impressive then viewing it on your screen (if you have the chance).
