So, after about 6 hours of work, this was created.I am quite proud of how it turned out.
I finally named one of my characters from that huge spree I did. I named the Whittle, Willa, after a Willow tree. Of course Sapphire makes an appearance in this. And the enemies are just the basic frames from some of my other partner vectors.
Btw, this is the first project I have completed using my new MacBook Pro, so I was able to define colors a LOT better than I have been in my previous work. Tell me what you think!
This is sort of a tribute to 's version, just with my characters, some changed interfaces and icon, new enemies, and different stage elements.
However I really did try to use as little of the source material and focused on looking at elements from The Thousand Year Door.

Really beautiful, attention to detail comes out great and the flair of SPM in this picture is captured as in the games itself. Something like this comes out when an artist is in his element. Thanks for this great picture.

I would never do that. Us that do these pieces and make art work hard and put a lot of time into these pieces.
We artists develop our skills so that we can exclusively express our ideas and designs.
If we just put out our stripped down artwork for anyone to use, what makes us as an artist unique?
