Still sorting through lingering thoughts concerning the ending of Transformers Prime.Possible spoilers to follow don't read if you don't want to know

I have always hated watching powerful villains finally get their comeuppance.
Even as a child I often cried when the antagonist died, no matter how definitively they may have deserved it.
I cannot say clearly as to why, as I am naturally drawn towards justice/kindness and any of its embodiments. But still, the finality of a dark characters death just leave me feeling so dreary.

Maybe I just can't let go of the vain hope that everyone deserves a second chance.
A third.
A fourth.
That no one is beyond redemption through retribution.
*simply shrugs*
Can't say I've ever cared a penny for Megs.
But irregardless his demise just go to me.

I too hope that Megatron would have redeemed himself, but in my mind (and this picture illustrates it) I think that he ended up in the pit and now he's sorry for what he did.

You know? I agree. Killing an antagonist is never a happy ending. And let us not forget that TFs live a LOT longer than humans, they essentally would be immortal without someone killing them, so theor life might matter even more than humans'. But, you see, bad things tend to happen. Sometimes the good and just thing to do won't happen.

To think that for all of the pain and strife he has caused, all the senseless slaughter, we see him in a very rare state that is different from the other Megatron's because although this one was in a weakened and near death state he still fought on as himself which is The True Leader Of The Decepticons; funny how it was not a Prime whom vanquished his reign of tyranny but a humble scout with a spiritedΒ spark as glorious as The Matrix itself, yet now we have to look forward to this proud leader be defiled and thrown into torment by The Chaos Bringer.

Optimus Prime will end his old friend's torment forever more once Galvatron(Unicron) is finished in that movie, but this was a greatΒ Ep,Β the sadness within it was just so powerful. Β

I really was hoping he wouldn't die, that he would be given another chance at being good. I'm still kind of hopeful that he will come back in the Predacon rising movie. He does come back as a sort of Galvatron later, but that's still not the same.. Great picture! I love the colors

Prime is the first Transformers series I've followed all the way through. And even without prior knowledge, I was fairly certain there was only one way they could end this-and that would be with his demise.
As the series is officially over-despite the movie sadly- I'm not sure if he will make a comeback, even as Galvatron.
But regardless, I am anxiously awaiting the film as well~<3

I understand what you mean. I'd rather see an enemy turn from their ungodly ways and take path unto light. Besides The Lord is not willing that any should perish but for all to come to repentance. Unfortunately, many will reject any chance to repent and only continue on the path unto destruction.

The sad ironic thing I find is that Megatron started out trying to do a very good a thing by trying to eliminate the caste system that was hurting a majority of cybertron's population but he became lost to wanting to be the ruler of cybertron and lost himselfΒ to the madness of power.

You know I should be angry that TFP is ending but MLP gets a fourth season, but at the same time I'm not. Don't get me wrong I'm excited for season 4 but still, it kinda sucks that TFP doesn't get a fourth season

Don't feel too bad. MLP's format lends itself to being open-ended - in theory, it could go on in perpetuity. Prime, by contrast, kinda needed a clear beginning, middle and end.
