________________________________________

When you've done everything you can to fight, how do you know what to fight for? Or even if there was someone willing to fight for you? When all is set and done, and messed up to the point of mass confusion, it's then and only then, will things start to work out. And you'll find what you've been looking for all along…
________________________________________

There's this building on a desolate wasteland of a planet. This building is the only building ON the planet and houses its sole inhabitants.

Shinra Corp. That was what this building used to be called a looooong time ago. Then one day, a woman came and renovated it and configured it for her own use. She cast many spells, placed many shields and barriers… Then one day, she brought in an unconscious woman and brought her below ground to be used as a power source, and maybe even more. For you see, those two girls have a looong history together.

Even if the other will never remember any of it...

Day 1: Introductions

Sora and Kamina P.O.V.

Sora is a Keyblade Master from the 'Kingdom Hearts' Dimension. This Sora is in his mid 20's but looks way older. Not much is known about his past other than the fact that he knows two of the Boss Lady's henchmen.

Kamina is the leader of team Dai-Gurren from the 'Gurren Lagann' Dimension. He's also a Parallel of the Original Kamina. The only thing known about him is that he prizes his cape and the drill-bit necklace he wears like a lifeline for some reason and he knows a Parallel of Yoko and has no shame when flirting with her, even if most of the time he's at the wrong end of her rifle...

Currently, these two are on their way to the dungeon after being called about two new prisoners, one Egyptian the other Japanese.

"So, what do you think? Boys? Girls?" Kamina asked.

"I don't know." Sora said annoyed.

He knew Kamina was praying for girls. It was a well known fact that he was a sort of player with the ladies. The proof in that would be the currently (although trying to hide it) paranoid Kamina from when they met up with Yoko earlier…

Sora just stood by and laughed so hard he almost fell over. Kamina kinda had it coming when he made a comment about her body... They made it to the main door that had the prisoners on the other side. Sora put his hand on the handle, but suddenly got an idea. He turned to face Kamina with a look that kinda creeped out Kamina, just a little.

"You know what? Lets make a bet."

"Oh?" Kamina said with a smirk and a glint in his eyes ready to accept the challenge. "And what kind of bet would that be?" He said as he leaned against the wall next to the door and propped his arm against it while fixing his sunglasses.

"I'll bet that one or both are guys. And if I'm right, then you have to dress up as a girl for a week! All the way down to the underwear." He added with a mischievous smirk. (Sora's been here waaaayyy too long!)

"And if they're girls?" Kamina challenged playfully. "Then I'll dress up. If they're both a boy and girl, we both lose." Kamina huffed. "Deal? Loser dresses up like a girl for the ENTIRE week."

"You're on!" Kamina accepted the challenge while snickering at a mental image of Sora in a dress or a skirt... Said man was thinking the same for the other. Sora grabbed two translator bracelets that
was in his side pouch attached to his belt. He turned and opened the door...

Event/Memory: Ceremonial Duel

________________________________________

Hidden in the sands of Egypt known only to the descendants of Tomb keepers for royalty, in a secret cave in the Valley of the Kings in the ancient past. One such king has just ended a duel that has finally set him free...

As the Ceremonial Duel ended, a young man stands before the large doors to the afterlife. After many years, he has finally figured out his identity and his past and can confidently say his real name that is the password for opening the doors. When at long last the doors open, and the bright light from within showing his long since deceased friends and family, and standing before them was

Yami, no... Atem.

Pharaoh Atem.

It's taken a long time to figure out that the spirit of the Millennium Puzzle was once an Egyptian Pharaoh that ruled over 5,000 years ago.

And now, he's made new friends and new memories. He hears his friends stop him before he takes a step forward into the light, saying both encouragements and also how it can't end just like that! He turns and see's Yugi. Yugi, the one who solved the Puzzle, opened his eyes and set him free from the Shadows. Yugi has grown, matured and learned a lot in the time they shared a body. Yami is proud of his Hikari (light), his Aibou (partner), his other half.

"Like we always say: It's your move!" Yugi happily said with a thumbs up.

Yami smiled in thanks. Yami turned and held out his arms with his own thumbs up as he walked towards the light. His modern day clothes that were identical to Yugi's (because they shared a body until recently) faded and re-materialized as the clothes he wore as a Pharaoh. The tips of his hair and eyes changed color as well from Amethyst to Crimson.

The last thing he remembers is the loud roar of the large doors, before everything goes black...

Shinra Corp: Dungeons/Prison/Brig

(Whatever you want to call it, really)

Yami/Atem P.O.V.
________________________________________

Next thing I knew... I'm lying on my back on concrete with a major headache.

"Ow..." I groaned in pain. I slowly sat up, every inch felt numb. Yugi described the feeling as pins and needles or limbs falling asleep. I sit up and try to take a look around. It's dark with the only light was coming from dimly lit red beams Joey would call lasers. I'm in some kind of modernized prison cell that somehow reminded me of Kaiba Corp.

I looked down when I felt a weight on my lap. There's a person unconscious across my lap. There was just enough light to see that it was a young child in an eerily familiar school uniform... Before I could dwell on it further, I felt the shadows warn me of another presence in the room behind me.

"Ironic, isn't it?" A deep baritone voice said from behind, sounding much like my own, but deeper.

"We were prisoners of the darkness... then saved by our light. Now we're trapped again, protecting him… instead of him protecting us." I turned to my left to face him. He was sitting in the corner leaning against the wall opposite the beams.

"Him?" I asked.

With what little light there was, I noticed that the man looked around my age. He had more muscle, his clothes were ripped and torn and caked in blood. He was injured in his right arm. When he talked, his voice was hoarse, like it has been years since he last talked to anyone. And when he answered, he had a pained expression and was trying so hard to hide it. He shakily raised his hand closest to me and pointed to the boy in my lap.

"That boy, Yu-" He cut himself off and started to cry as little. "Yugi Moto."

Shock and so many other emotions ran through me at that name. "Y-Yugi!?"

"Judging from the look on your face... you know him?" I can tell he seemed a little happy when he talked.

"Y-yeah..." I looked down at the boy lying face down across my lap.. I flipped him over so I could get a better look at him. Part of me wanted him here by my side, but the other wanted him as far away from this place as possible. As I turned him over I noticed 3 things:

1) It is Yugi

2) He's a lot younger now, maybe 7 or 8. One can never tell with his height issues.

3) He looked beaten to a pulp. He looked even worse than what Ushio used to do to him! It looked like some kind of wild animal attacked him before he was brought here!
"What happened...?" I wondered aloud, horrified. It feels like what happened with the Orichalcos all over again!

"Let me answer that with another question: Do you even want to know what happened?"

"W-who are you?" I asked, realizing we might be her a while so I might as well get to know who I'm sharing this cell with...

He chuckled a little and leaned his head dazedly against the wall. "Would you believe me... even if I told you?"

Voices were heard nearby. I turned and saw a door next to our cell. The voices came from the other side of it.

"That sounds like Sora and Kamina." The man stated, and I can tell he's glad to see them.

"Deal? Loser dresses up like a girl for the ENTIRE week."

"You're on!"

Then the door opened revealing two dark figures. One of which flipped a switch to turn on the lights. Everyone was temporarily blinded.

"Damn! Forgot how bright those things get!" The taller one said annoyed.

"Eh, I'm used to it." The other said. Soon, after getting their vision back, the duo stared in shock at the three of us in the cell. The taller one with the cape blinked in confusion at us. When they finally regained their vision, the taller one twitched, paled and then backed away towards the door as the shorter one smirked.

The man in the corner burst out laughing. "So what was the bet this time?!"
The shorter one answered. "I bet that the prisoners were both guys while Kamina, here, bet they were girls!" His smirk got bigger as 'Kamina' flinched. So that means the shorter one is 'Sora' then. The man in the corner laughed again.

"I want a copy of whatever pictures or videos you all take!" And he continued to laugh.

"Is it me, or am I seeing double? …Or is it triple?" 'Kamina' said after they calmed down a little, referring to us and the boy in my lap. Unfortunately, I couldn't understand a word they were saying.

I turned to the other man… or should I say myself. He was me… all the way down to my clothes and skin. There were differences though. He may be my age, but something tells me he's older (similar to how I am from not aging in the Puzzle). His clothes were torn and looked like he's been through many battles straight without rest. He has many scars and burns, in some places it looked like something melted his skin. Where as my cape was Purple, his is stained blood red.

He didn't even try to hide the limp in his right arm. The look in his eyes, there was something I couldn't quite place.

"Mmm…. Grandpa… 5 more minutes…" Atem blinked. He adjusted Yugi so he wasn't across his lap, but in his arms. He looked to see Yugi waking up. Yugi mumbled as he nuzzled into Atems' arms and yawned cutely. It was so cute that Atem chuckled while Sora and Kamina smiled a little. Atem noticed his other was in a daze, but hid it well. He also looked sad, he even closed his eyes briefly as if in pain.

When Yugi mumbled something else, Atem tried to gently wake him. "Yugi… Yugi wake up-" He stopped.

Why? Because he spoke in Arabic. He tried again; and again, it was Arabic.

"What?!"

"Oh! Hold on." Sora said, completely forgetting about the Translator Bracelets…

The Other Atem rolled his eyes teasingly while Sora stuck out his tongue causing the Other to laugh. As Sora walked closer, Atem held Yugi protectively and possessively. Sora recognized that look right away, thanks Atem's 'twin' still sitting in the corner. The 'twin' subtly lifted his hand and quietly told him to back off a little.

"I got this." The Other Atem looked at Atem and spoke in Arabic. Yugi blinked away the last remnants of sleep and looked around. The other Yami looked at Yugi self conscious of Yugi's reaction of him. Atem decided to ask him about it later.

"What's going on? Who are you? W-where am I?" (In Japanese). The more he looked around, the more scared he got. It didn't look like they were gonna hurt him though, he was iffy on the two look-a-likes though.

"What the Hell?" Kamina said snapping them from their thoughts. The other Atem released a breath he didn't know he was holding and took a few more to calm down a little. He looked to Atem and spoke in Arabic.

"By now you probably noticed that we barely understand each other. See these Bracelets?" He said holding out what's in his hand. "They act as translators so we can understand each other. Do you understand?"

"Yes." Atem nodded. Meanwhile, Yugi didn't. So he looked to the two who walked in.

"Um… do either of you speak Japanese?" Yugi asked shyly. Kamina looked confused, but Sora smiled.

"I do." Yugi clearly brightened at that. So Sora tried to explain, but the Other Atem stepped in.
Other Atem knelt down so he was eye-level with Yugi.

"Yugi, Do you understand me?"

"Mhm" While nodding.

"Good. See these bracelets? (While holding one out to him) These act as translators. Do you know what that is?"

"Yes, Jii-Chan (grandpa) told me what they are."

"Good. These bracelets allow us to understand each other. There are a lot of people here that don't understand what the other is saying.. That's where these come in. If you put these on, you can understand those who speak in other languages.."

"Cool!" Yugi smiled and giggled. "Umm... Who are you?"

That one question affected everyone in the room. (Except Atem and Yugi).
The Other Atem's expression stayed the same: gentle smile, yet slightly sad. But everything else about him practically screamed heartache. Sora and Kamina looked ready to calm him down when needed.
Both Atem and Yugi knew something was going on. Yugi looked at the Other Atem curiously, got out of Atem's arms, who watched him curiously. Yugi took a step closer to the Other Atem, who took a step back in shock.

Yugi tilted his head in contemplation for a moment, then he smiled softly.

"Please, don't cry." The Other Atem's eyes widened at that. He put his hands subconsciously to his eyes where he did, in fact, start crying.

"C'mon Kamina, lets leave em' alone." Sora whispered to Kamina.
Kamina hesitantly nodded, and then pushed himself off the wall. Then he put his hands on Sora's head and pushed him off balance. "Hey!" Sora playfully complained.

"Well, we're off! But first." Sora walked over to Yami. "So…" He began confusedly. "How are we going to tell you two apart?" Referring to the freaky Pharaoh twins.

Said twins looked at each other. Yugi, being in the middle (still not knowing their names) looked back and forth between the two. During this time, Kamina walked over to Atem and gave him the bracelet and turned it on, just in time to Translate what Sora said.

"Good point." Other Atem said. "We *points to himself and Yami* are Parallels of each other, along with Yugi."

"Parallels?" Yugi asked, now with a bracelet of his own on. Other Atem smiled at him.

"I'll explain that after, ok?" Yugi nodded.

Sora knelt down to look at Yugi.

"So your name's Yugi?" He asked smiling.

"Yup! What's your name?" While tilting his head to the side cutely. It took all of –both- Yami's will power not to grab the boy possessively and not let go.

"I'm Sora." While smiling and holding out his hand. Yugi grabbed it and shook it giggling. Kamina put his hand on Sora's head and leaned forward, pointing to himself (with his thumb).

"I'm Kamina. The most Kick-butt leader of team Dai-Gurren!" He declared proudly. He then pointed to the Other Atem. "And that over there is the almighty Pharaoh, Atem." Said King rolled his eyes at the Pharaoh part. "And you are…?"

"My name is also… Pharaoh Atem." He looked at their 'You've-got-to-be-kidding-me' faces and quickly added, "But you can call me Yami." Relief filled the room.

"Yugi?" Sora asked.

"Hm?"

"May I ask how old you are?"

"Sure. I just turned 10 a few days ago."

My guess was right after all. Yami thought. Kamina sighed. "Seams like ALL the Prisoners are kids." While looking at Sora who stood up.

"No kidding." He looked at them. "C'mon, let's get out of here."

"Ahem." Atem held up his shackles and raised a brow. Sora sweat-dropped.

"Right, sorry." Sora walked over and dug through his pockets for the key. He had a lot of pockets. Atem sighed.

"Um..." Yugi started. "Can you tell me where we are?" Yugi asked shyly.

"You know, I've been wondering the same thing." Kamina replied annoyed while crossing his arms. He looked to Atem, where as Sora's back was to him. Kamina looked over Sora's shoulder to Atem. "I know you've been in this place for a while, so do you know where we are?"
Atem remained silent, but narrowed his eyes.

"Well?" Even Sora looked up expectantly as he, finally, found the key. Atem held up his bound hands and the jingle of the chains echoed slightly in the silence. Sora undid the handcuffs and let it fall to the floor.

"I'm not sure you'd even believe me anyway. Sora might though." He finally answered.

"How so?"

"You have experience with other worlds yes?" As Atem said this, Sora gravely nodded.

"What do you mean by other worlds?!" Kamina asked. "What are we dead or something?!"

Atem closed his eyes with a huff, Yami looked away and Sora just shook his head.

"Oh! Do you mean other worlds like the ones in outer space?" Yugi asked innocently. Atem looked at him with a smile and nodded. Yugi clearly brightened at that.

"Cool!" Yami chuckled a little at this.

"So, why are we here? Do you know?" Yami asked. At this, Sora and Kamina looked just as confused as him and they all looked to Atem.

"It's complicated. I can't explain it now, because I was going to wait until everyone got here so I don't have to keep repeating myself."

"How long will that take?" Sora asked. Atem shrugged.

"At this rate, probably tomorrow. Think you can wait until then?"

"Will you tell us everything?" Yami asked, eyeing him. Atem just sighed after a moment.

"I'll try. Most of it wouldn't even matter until later on anyway. But I'll tell you the basics in the meantime. That much I promise."

We left the dungeon and we decided an 'attempted' tour of the place as we met up with the others. I wasn't paying attention to the attempted tour because I already know it's next to impossible finding your way around this place anyway, also Kamina ran off somewhere along the way. So instead I was focusing on Yugi and Atem. Atem… He's been here for years after his Ceremonial Duel with Yugi. And seeing as how Yami is wearing the same, albeit newer, clothes as him, I can only assume that Yami went through the same thing Atem did… And there's Yugi, the center of both their attention. The way they look at Yugi, it doesn't take a genius to figure out that they're going to be EXTREMELY possessive and protective over him.

In a way, they remind me of me, Riku and Kairi… No! Shaking my head and closing my eyes tightly; I stopped walking and clenched my fists. I had to stop my thoughts there… (Unknown to Sora, Yugi noticed Sora stopped walking and looked on the verge of tears, and got worried. Yugi looked at Atem who shook his head gently, silently telling him to leave him alone.) I took a deep breath then ran ahead to the only place I can think of: The Memory Scanner Room.
________________________________________
Atem P.O.V.
________________________________________

As I watch him run ahead, most likely to the Memory Scanner Room, I felt sorry for him. I knew he was thinking of his friends… From what he told me they were severely injured when they came for him. The Boss Lady offered him a deal: Come willingly or watch them die. From experience, the Boss Lady always keeps her promises and threats. So, as he was sure that his friends were safe, he followed her to Shinra with his head held high and a reassuring smile that they'll see him again. That was the last time he saw them. Then the next day he was assigned someone to guard: a 6-year-old named Kairi.

That was a month ago.

Ever since then, he's been her own Guardian Angel. He keeps her safe, makes her smile; he's always there for her. Keeping his own sadness bottled up, knowing full well that anyone who enters Shinra never leaves or sees home again.

I remember once him telling me that seeing his own friends like that was the first time he ever saw them bleeding and broken… he never wanted to see them like that again.

I feel lower than dirt right now. I want to tell them that everything will be all right in the end, that they'll all go home soon, but I can't. In order for anything good to happen, they have to suffer and wait. I can't give away ANYTHING. After all, once Star wakes up… (I sighed) I want to tell them, but I can't.

"Atem?" A voice said startling me. It was Syaoran and Sakura.
________________________________________
A/N: Syaoran is literally from the end of the Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles, age 17? And Sakura is from the Card Captor series. (I don't remember her age, so let's just say she's 12) Syaoran had his usual green clothes and cloak, fit for an archaeologist, and Sakura had that pink outfit that reminds me of a marching band. She wore it in the 2nd movie. Her voice isn't squeaky like in the movie, but her normal voice.
________________________________________
"So there's two Atem's now?" Sakura asked.

"Uh, just call me Yami." He said sheepishly.

"Is that Yugi?!" Sakura asked. Believe it or not, Sakura was here almost as long as me, and hasn't aged a day. And that was a long time ago. Syaoran was here 2 months.

Yugi was semi-hiding behind Yami when they came by. But one look at them and Yugi could tell they were friendly.

"You know me?" Yugi asked shyly. Sakura nodded cheerfully.

"Well I do anyway, he doesn't." She gestured towards Syaoran. "My names Sakura by the way, and this is Syaoran."

"Nice to meet you." Syaoran said. Yugi nodded and smiled. Syaoran looked to Atem with a serious look. "So what's wrong with Sora?"

"Yeah, he seemed really sad about something." Sakura added.

"Sakura, I want you to take Yugi and introduce him to the others. We'll catch up to you later, ok?" Atem said in a tone where she quickly understood.

"Okay! C'mon Yugi!" She cheerfully grabbed Yugi's' arm and practically dragged him to wherever she was taking him. I silently laughed to myself. Leave it to Sakura to be cheerful all the time…

Sakura P.O.V.
________________________________________

As we were running I was thinking of a way to cheer up Yugi. But then I noticed something up ahead, something black, shiny, and drooling.
________________________________________

(A/N: I decided to add the Xenomorphic Aliens from the 'Alien' series starring Sigourney Weaver. Oh yeah, I went there! They call them Xenomorph's/Xeno's instead of aliens because I say so! XD)
________________________________________
"Wh-what is that!" Yugi said. I looked at him briefly. That look in his eyes, he's seen them before…oh, no. That explains the bruises and stuff! I looked back at the Xenomorph with determination. I have to keep him safe. I finally got to see Atem smile again! I will not let any harm come to his only light of hope!

I grabbed the necklace around my neck took a step forward and thought of the only way I could get Yugi out of here safely. The Xeno was a good 20ft away. Perfect.

I started to summon my Star Wand:

"Key of Clow"
(Key of the Star)/i>

"Power of Magic, Power of Light"
(With powers burning Bright)

"Surrender the Wand"
(Reveal the staff)

"The force ignite!"
(And shine your light!)

As she said the chant, the room went black. When she spoke her spell, her voice echoed another spell in a whisper that could just barely be heard above her own. (1) A spell circle appeared at their feet with had a golden glow to it.

Yugi was standing next to her in awe.

"Release!"
(Release!)

"FLY!" Wings sprouted from her back making her look like an angel. As she grabbed Yugi, the room went back to normal. She wrapped her arms, from behind, around his waist and took for the ceiling.

(A/N: I'm sorry; I forgot to describe the insides of the building! ^_^; Anyway, might as well while their flying right? XD)

It may have been a military science place, but for some reason the Boss Lady decided to add a few extra features to it. She pretty much re-did everything! She cast spells on the floors, walls and ceilings so that whoever was nearby changed its appearance to make the person feel more at home.

For example: If Sora walked by, it would change to look exactly like his island he and his friends grew up on. There would even be an ocean breeze! And just about everything would be as realistic as possible! But, to remind you that you aren't home, the outlines of the hallway or room would have a ghostly appearance or look like glass. The building moves on its own from time to time. But me and Atem knew better.

Star is subconsciously controlling the building herself…

As me and Yugi flew out of the Xenomorphs' reach, the walls changed to Tomoeda, Japan. Where I used to live. And since we were flying, we were high up in the sky over the city, there were even a few clouds.

"Wow!" Yugi said in awe completely scaring me. I completely forgot about him for a minute there!

"That's the magic of Shinra Corp, Yugi. Cool huh?" I said regaining my composure.

"You bet! This is so cool!" I smiled a little.

"This is Tomoeda, Japan. My home."

"Really? Looks similar to my home. I'm from Domino City, Japan." I blinked. How many people here are from Japan? I looked down. We just passed about 10 Xenomorphs.

If I wasn't with him, he'd probably be dead.

Atem told me to do something… Ugh! What was it—that's right! He told me to introduce him to everybody! So… where would they all be… well, might as well start with the hanger and start there.
