Chapter Eleven: Bedside MannerAfter waking up and learning that he was, in fact, in hospital, Caleb settled back into the day to day of the hospital life. This time after hearing Sage berate the doctor, Demeter freak out when he tried to walk, and Kayta just be, well, Kayta, Caleb decided that maybe, just maybe, he should have physical therapy - at least while he could. Truth was he'd rather do that than nothing, but he had to wait at least a few weeks until the sling came off. Which made him feel even worse than he already was; Caleb didn't like just lying around, let alone being waited on hand and foot. He wanted out; then again he guessed he could at least talk to Demeter when she came into his room. So he let that make him happy while he was waiting.
One day sometime in the continuous coming and going he heard his phone ring (which he never remembered being with him, must have been Sage's doing). He reached over and picked it up; it was Ophelia again. He quickly sat it down on the table when Demeter came in.
"Was it her again?" she said
"Yeah, must be the—wait again?" Caleb said, confused.
"Sage picked up your phone at your house; it seems Ophelia's been trying to get a hold of you." she said, setting down a tray of food and chucking his phone into her purse. The younger woman looked sternly at Caleb. "You aren't thinking what I think you're thinking are you, Dragon?"
"What? No, no way Demeter, why would you even think that of me?" Caleb said, shocked at the accusation
"Because it's what you do." Demeter had finally shifted to a chair and was looking at him with her grey eyes. He finally had a chance to check her out for the first time in a long time. Demeter was 5'3", with a little meat on her bones though, which was what really impressed Caleb; always had. Ever since he had known her he'd loved her legs, which seemed strong enough to kick a hole through a brick wall... well, ok, he was exaggerating, but she had this set of legs on her that just drove Caleb wild... his eyes flicked upward, noticing how even the smock seemed to hug her curves and show off her sensuality. Demeter knew Caleb was looking and she had no problem with this whatsoever; what shocked her was the next words to come out of his mouth.
"Demeter…" he started gingerly, "I realize I started on the wrong path… with Ophelia."
"Caleb, that was her own fault. You know it as well as I do…" she started but Caleb cut her off.
"You don't know Ophelia, you honestly don't. Yeah I started out on the right path; I taught her what she needed to know, what she wanted to know." He sighed and looked down at his hands. How to explain this to her; he knew what he was, or what he turned into. It was something he hated more than anything. He looked up at her and tears started to well in his eyes, "I lost it Demeter, I lost control. The one thing a Master never should do is lose control! I forgot myself and I started to… I started to…"
Demeter reached over and placed a hand on his shoulder, "I'm here Caleb; I always have been, always will be here for you. There's no hiding that. What do you need?"
"I need to be trained again." he said bluntly, wiping his tears away. That was what he knew he needed; he felt it in his gut, to take away the monster that he had become. He needed to be trained again and the only person he trusted with it was Demeter.
Demeter was taken aback by this, but didn't let it show. She knew he would probably ask; something just told her that he would,. She looked at her nails then straightened the collar on her smock, and pursed her lips in thinking. Caleb was paying attention to her every move, watching her hazel eyes with his, trying to see if he could decode her. Demeter finally smirked, "Dear, dear Caleb, do you know what it is you ask of me?"
The bed-ridden man gulped as she continued, "You ask for me to train you, I can do this but I know your track record. Know that I won't allow you to top me at all, and I won't take it easy on you. I actually wish we had met sooner." the nurse got up and took a peek outside the door to make sure the coast was clear. She locked the room door and sauntered over.
Caleb noticed now why she chose to refer to herself as a predator. Each step was deliberate, showing off the tone of her legs; even in a nurses outfit she seemed in utter control of herself she walked over to the bed and actually placed one of her legs right near his covered manhood.
"Dear sweet dragon, I would love to train you." She purred, her hand reaching down to caress his cheek - then she slapped him. "But, why should I?" She got really close to Caleb. "It is obvious that you're going to be staying with me for the next few weeks, and I do this as a courtesy to you. You are a friend, a good friend, but why should I actually consider training you?" She breathed and got off of him. She nearly laughed at the look he gave her as she went to sit down.
Caleb gulped, honestly shocked at the change of pace she had taken. This was something he heard about from many of Demeter's satisfied pets, but never in his life had seen exactly how she handled herself; as she sat there waiting for his response, he was dumbfounded.
"I… I… " he struggled, trying to collect his words. "I honestly don't know, I just thought -"
"That is your problem Caleb, you think, and you often think with the thing most males think with." She smirked as he reflexively went to cover his hardening manhood. "You see, that is the difference between a real master or mistress and some of these god awful imitators you see at Erotic Nightshade." She exhaled as if she was letting out a toxin, then continued. "Caleb, I will help you get back on your feet, let you get healed when they do release you finally, but as far as training you goes… we will see. You have yet to really prove yourself to me."
Caleb nodded, taken back at the way she treated him; he had to suppress the urge to force her into a situation that she didn't want. The healing man looked out a window in his room contemplating things while Demeter got up, unlocked the door and walked down to the nurses' station
------
Demeter hadn't honestly needed to leave, but she did need out. Well, at least to leave him guessing; she knew in her mind that she was going to dominate him, make him realize everything he had done wrong. She ran her fingers through her hair as she walked past many doctors on her way to personnel; she knew she had time off to take but she wanted to make sure this was put in before they ever released the boy again. Once that was done she went on her lunch break and took a drive around to clear her head, and think about things.
She had always had a passing interest in taming the boy in question; more out of the simple fact that she knew his type. Lusting after women, thinking he knew what a master was, dominating and using some people for his own gain. From what she heard of his upbringing she couldn't blame him... well, actually, yes she could. That's what infuriated her. He was one of the children of circumstance born in Scindo's 'perfect haven' Pleasantville. The nurse never understood why he had moved to the den; Sage had tried to explain it to her once or twice, something about his mother never forgiving him for something that happened to his sister but it really just confused her more. All she knew for sure was now she had her chance; something he might regret but she would enjoy was teaching him how to be a master in name and action, not just this blatant excuse to have sex that he is now. By the time she was done with him, he would be what he never dreamed he could be, an honest man done away with the poison that was obviously eating at him.
