Description Twitch among the dead and dying
Where the many, the few, they are crying
Listlessly we try to defy
The one with the eternal eye

Look to the gray sky
And be not the ones who wonder why?
Because he is not shy

He is hunting
You are hurting
They are turning

He offers hand
For the beginning or the end
You give in, you lend your hand
You drift away to his land

Where you are now amongst the dead
And no tears are shed
No blood is bled

It is worthless to try hiding

bravo i think it was creative, and though it makes me think of my future... something i tend to stir away from [i like to walk blindly into the future] this drew me in with eyes wide open and if I'm not mistaking which i probably am dont most if not all religions study more on the after life then the living if I'm correct on that then there's another thing this makes me think of, thirdly with celeb deaths today the ones that aren't "accidents" i imagine a celeb holding out his/her hand to Death's cold hand

to be honest I'm not gonna be proud of this critique because I'm more use to critiquing pictures instead of literature but its a start

to finish off good job. sorry for the poorly done critique

Actually you got it on the button. Yes most religions do study the afterlife more than life, and that's why i called it Death's Cult. Then you have the suicides and murders who are given to death as if a prize.

thank you for the critique, it might not be the best but it was what you thought and that's what i'm looking for!

I'm not sure if I got this right from the beginning but it sounds to me that someone is dying and they let themselves let death take them to his land of the undead or hell as he or she feels no more pain or sorrow of death since they are dead at this point. I think that is what you want us to think, that's what im getting from it. Anyway this interested me as we all wonder about death this day if we are going to die tomorrow or not. And everything went smoothly leading to the outcome from living to death. Nicely done!

Actually you have it half right. I've done an extensive amount of research on religions, and noticed that a lot of religions fall under 'death cults' they don't worship live as much as they do preparing for death. I myself often times wonder about death but then i always remember to live life

But all in all this can be interpreted the way you put it because it's a good way of putting it!

Hmm.

So Death is the Hunter who finds you, no matter where you go, and takes you down? A intriguing notion.

Not my view of death, but a valid description of how many see it.

Death is a thing we can not escape, he may not hunt us be he is there, waiting, watching.

And every view is a valid view, this is just one of many forms death can take

True. But, I think of Death as a gentle, kind person who waits for us patiently. And at the proper moment, she takes us back to where we came, relieving us of all our burdens. A sort of mother who comes to all of us, equally, to end our pains and give our stories a proper and righteous end.

So, in that view, I don't think of death as a hunter. And for that reason, I don't fear it.

....That sounds suspiciously like Neil Gaiman's Death from Sandman.

I'm not saying this is what i believe, it's a variation on what organized religion believes, and in the Big Three(Islam, Judaism, and Christianity). History has shown alot of Christian schools of thought think of death as the ultimate abyss, a being they wait patiently for while not living life. that is why i named it 'death cult' because well in those terms they are death cults

It's my view, it may be offensive to some. But, that all being said i believe i lean on your side
