Running in rainHe cries for those slain
By the humans
While they hunt for him
Laying down in defeat
He feels the heat
Signaling an abnormal feat
He transforms
Growing wings
Of a leathery sheen
Almost too clean
Is he a demon
One may ask
When they put this image
To task
No he isn't
With his human mind spent
From the blood spilt
He takes to the skies
With a feral battle cry
For he is a shifter
That is what they say
But he knows the truth
Deep down in his heart
He is the hunter
Of those who plunder
And bring the earth under
He is the human hunter
Born of dragons
Raised to fight
Those who do no right
Many say
He is the father of dismay
He is accused of killing
Innocence
But he was forced
For they provoked
The beast
They were rapers
Pillagers
Of innocence
He had seen them
Commit immoral sin
To a kid
They held her down
And made her cries drown
In their feral lust
He couldn't just stand by
And watch her spirit die
So he attacked
Tore at their flesh
And laid the devils to rest
And the child was freed
And she lived free
Of those devil's deeds
But now he is hunted
And his kin's head flaunted
Like trophies mounted
And he is hunted
