Description
DarknessMacabre
Morbid
All things
That describe
My writing
Why they ask
Cant you
Write about
The light
And to that
I say
What light
There is no light left
In this...world
Where we look upon
Violence as the only way
There is no love
When innocence is raped
From the young
There is no peace
Where we celebrate
War
And why
Because that is
The only thing
We know
And our own ignorance
Will be our own
Undoing
The bodies lie dead
On the streets
And we care not
We pass them over
And gawk
Yet we donβt help
I guess
This is
The light
You speak of

there are finite definitions of the words but i at the time i was going through a very dark time, and the only thing that came out were these dark poems and i had my mom ask me 'why don't you write nice poetry' and i was sitting there one day and said 'where do you see light?' because i could flip on a tv and only see war death destruction, then i could walk around my city and i would see men and women on the street then i would hear about car wrecks thats where i got the imagery of us passing over dead bodies and gawking....
