Art by Shelby Christie!Yes, I know that things never went quite THIS far in X-Men Evolution...I just loved the way they innovated things by having the Love Triangle NOT involved Wolverine and making Jean an active player in it rather than the passive center of it. Made her more of a character.
It's not a terribly flattering thing to say, but the idea behind this is that Jean and Rogue are so consumed by their mutual animosity that Scott appears not so much as someone each cares about and whom they're trying to comfort...but more like a wishbone in the hands of two bratty children.
Meanwhile, rather than being purely oblivious to what's happening Scott simply has something far more pressing to focus on.
