Description Forgotten things

Misplaced sentiments, sediments drifting in the bottom
Blurring the vision of what’s underneath
Buried under this layer, waters churning and muddied
What is it that lies there, something that has drifted away?
Feelings of something lost, forgotten, misplaced
Misspaced distortions of underlying foundations
Cornerstones than contain the keystone of the whole…
Structure? Was that what is needed? What is need?
Do I need? Do I need it? I feel disconnected …
Unformatted , a welcome mat. A forwelcome mat.
Drift away through the sediment sentiments of worn
Out concepts of self mastery, self imagery or just self
Imagination. None of it is clear, for I seem to have forgotten…
Something. Must go deeper but I seem to have forgotten how to swim…
Travel with the current, just go with the flow over the edge of the water
Fall .
         .
          .
.out. have I forgotten me? Who else was forgotten me then?
                                                                                                          ?
                                                                                                            ?
                                                                                                             ?
Muddy, cool, quiet thoughts, feeling, yearning and dreams, distorting what is

beneath those layers. (it can be quite chaotic)

No more so than yourself.

*blushes* now how can one reply to such a statement? shall we toss around pleasantries for a while longer or just simply agree on both of us being too kind. *laughs*

Shall we agree that each of us is too kind? But tossing pleasantries can be such fun. Especially with one as gifted with words as yourself.

oh but one gifted with such a honeyed silver tongue that speaks with such grace strikes me mute by comparison.

ContessaDelaunay In reply to ShadowStrider [2004-12-11 03:22:14 +0000 UTC]

and yet not, for your words are far too kind, speaking far too much credit.

ShadowStrider In reply to ContessaDelaunay [2004-12-17 05:35:36 +0000 UTC]

ah, but i feel that you deserve much more than my humble words, and much more credit.

ContessaDelaunay In reply to ShadowStrider [2004-12-17 07:08:20 +0000 UTC]

I would beg to differ. My words are nothing compared to yours. Your words sing to the soul, freeing emotions that have been locked away for far too long. You deserve much more credit that I.

I tend to disagree. Your words have the same effect upon me. *laughs*

*grins* so it would seem that we are faced with yet another impasse. Shall we call a small truce, or continue with such word games? I so enjoy bantering words with one a gifted as yourself however. . .*laughs*

ShadowStrider In reply to ContessaDelaunay [2004-12-31 05:00:50 +0000 UTC]

i must admit it such a challenge to banter words with one so skilled. it does give me no small measure of enjoyment. *laughs* therefore, i leave the decision up to you. *grins*

ContessaDelaunay In reply to ShadowStrider [2005-01-01 21:15:23 +0000 UTC]

*laughs* then we shall continue for the time being. I too get no small amount of pleasure from bantering with one whose uses words with such mastery. 'Tis a very rare thing, and I most enjoy it. *smiles*

ShadowStrider In reply to ContessaDelaunay [2005-01-04 04:42:29 +0000 UTC]

*smiles* ah, but compared to you, my feeble words sputter out incoherently and sound ever so much as strange noises coming out from a flustered cow trapped in a milking machine on high speed.

ContessaDelaunay In reply to ShadowStrider [2005-01-04 18:16:33 +0000 UTC]

*laughs* but even those strange noises can have a certain melody to them. Besides, your words are never feeble. They always push themselves clearly through incoherent thoughts to leave a lasting impression upon my mind.

Definitely an interesting style of writing with this one. The similiarity of words adds a feeling almost like repitition to the piece, but because the reptition comes not from saying the same word over and over, but using two words that are very similiar, it creates what seems to be almost a desperate feel. I definitely like it.
