Description
For Ravenous Canid of Furc. She asked me to draw Canid killing a wolf. Soooo here 'tis. Um, um, um, I am really proud of this and all. Yayy, I actually drew a background because people have been getting tired of my...crappy fake ones xD So yeah, I drew everything and everything this time. I made it resemble the arena in TSC on Furc, if you didn't notice. That's all, I guess xDCRITS AND COMMENTS AND FLAMES WELCOME.

The Slave Chambers xD It's where Ravenous Canid hangs out the most, I think. And since fights are supposed to go in the arena...I drew the arena. Sorta. oo;

Looks totally painful! And really well done for sure. The only crits I give, is that it doesn't look like he's attached to his throat, but more just the edge of his fur of his throat... but meh, and the blood could use to be a bit darker- just more morbid xD;; Blodd isn't that light, kinda looks ketchup-like. The sand/dirt looks cool, but a little, flat or something. I love the fire in the bg and the bg isn't too over done so you're paying attention to the main focus of the picture. I also like how the two characters there aren't centered on the picture, gives it more dimension. Very cool. I do love how you shade fur, must take forever. Good jorb. =B

Shpankyew :3 I tried a darker shade of color for the blood at first, but it camoflauged into the red dog's fur...! And I love to draw ze blood stuff, so I was like, okay change of plans Dx But yeah, the sand does look flat o_o Didn't know how to fix that. Thanks, Oddy! I always enjoy your comments/crits x3

True, I guess it would blend in to the fur... so whatever works. xD;; Still a cool pic. As far as the sand, hmm... guess um, I dunno either.. lol. xD;; No biggie though. I think it just has to do w/ the shading and blending before you add the filter to make it look sand like. But yeah, still cool. and no probs. =B

Yes, hello, I still live - just not on Furc any more, very sadly. ;.; Say hi to Kane if he's still around.
Anyway... impressive, as usual, but more. My favorite part is the sand Canid kicked up, and the puff of it where the other wolf is landing backward. The whole thing looks very abrupt, what with the paw prints where Canid was sitting, and the wolf's obvious lack of preparedness. Good idea on the small pupil, too - adrenaline rush. Killer details, too, especially in the fur. You know better than most the exact directions and lengths it grows, as evident in the high precision you always use. How long does that usually take? It's so small-scale, is it particularly inefficient to get results like that?
I'm done. Lots of movement and intensity, two paws up. o.O

Wow... Thank you sooo much for the comment. It's nice to know people actually take the time to notice things like that about my art, because I spend so much time drawing those details and worrying that no one will care about them anyway xD; This picture took approximately a month to make, and that's usually the normal time it takes for me to finish pictures. I am the slowest artist I have ever heard of, no joke

Ravenous Canid is the character's name, so I just call her Canid sometimes xP Actually, she is supposed to be a Saarloos Wolfhound, buuut that's beside the point O: Thanks for da comment <3

ugh, I always do this... I always hit "add to favourites" by total accident when I mean to zoom in or scroll left or right.
oh well. I still think this is good. You put a lot of work in detailing everything every last bit of detail, including the dirt that flings up. it shows a lot of motion in the picture. And, as always, the proportions are right on. hehe.

Hum no flame here but I have to say the sand in the arena floor...all being thrown up and moved by the fight...AMAZING! Awesome! Going to that extent with detail is...wow. And of course the peportions are fantastic and the fur is absolutely to die for but you probably know that this is spectcular...and ...yes. OMG THE SAND!

The shading, as always, is fantastic,that sand is hawt, and the expressions and blood make the pic seem real. I also like the spotlight on them. Its snazzy.

Only thing that I dislike about this picture is the wolf being killed. ): This is fantastic! I've always envied your shading and the detail you put into fur. You always do such nice backgrounds, and I like how you had the character and background interact with each other by having the sand get kicked up and such blaabafhsl;gsl;dg. You make me want to shade and color my pictures better, which I'll try my hardest next time. I'd love to trade with you someday again.

O.O Goodness, this is a good one. There are so many details on this! The sand flying up, the shading on the fur, the flow of the blood, the posture of the killed wolf, and the eyes. The collar shines! @.@ Wow, this must have taken you quite a while. Big thumbs up on this one!
