I shur am uploading a lot this month. What's up with that?I was hesitant to upload this one without the third page accompanying closely after because this page leaves you in the same place you were when you finished reading the first! Nothing's happening, blahlhgblalhlbldfllblblbllb. But never fear...there is plenty of action...to come in the future
I decided to play around with the speech bubbles. Dires and Vampires will be represented with different font colors so as to aid in any confusion you all may have in discerning the two parties. The Dires are gray, the Vampires are red. And just to let you all know, this is a WEB COMIC. I do not intend or have any desire to sell this as a book or print it out or whatever, so the pages in the future may be smaller or larger depending on how I'm feeling.

And I think this page can best be explained by saying that Shinny, the pink-feathered Dire with a sailor's mouth, and Reeno, the gold-tipped Dire with big toofs, are about to get in a world of trouble and cause even more of it themselves
The weaving, hissing black tendril curling around Shinny's leg is her Wind Spirit, Enjirou. Shinny's a Wind Rider. And I guess unless you visit WolfWeb regularly you don't know what that means... But, let's just saay...you DON'T WANT TO MESS WITH HER

Well...this page has been here forever. I know your busy but mannn I am still waiting for more! It would be kick ass if someone would make a comic series off The Realm. Starting back to the beginning where Wolfsbane became a king and Cerberus became a Queen.

Wind Riders are not a 'species' in themselves, becoming a Wind Rider is like...an enlightenment of sorts; an advancement. It can happen to any creature, canine or not, Dire, Angel, Vampire, etc. No one is born a Wind Rider. Shinny was born a Dire, and she became a Wind Rider (keeping a Dire's body while gaining the powers that come with Wind Riderism).
So yes, Shinny the Wind Rider is a Dire

Awesome, i really like the way you have coloured it, it is very pleasing to the eye. i like the face in the forth panel, very funny expression.

i found the lighting (or lack of lol) very approprate to the scene, and i think it builds the 'evilness' or perhaps the sense of hostility with a reddish sky. I read it fine!

Man, I can't believe someone said this looks like BBA, of all copied comics out there. Not only are your wolves different in shading, anatomy, lineart etc. but your text is also all in caps (unlike other wolf comics). Anyway, I love the shading and the atmosphere here, very sinister. The wolves also look great, the only problem is that the page is too dark so I can't quite see all the details. Still love it though so I'm putting it into my favorites

It's not even about the plotline as much as it's about general appearance. I mean, you can have a completely original plotline but if the appearance is familiar and like BBA then it's no use.
In your comic not only the shading is different, but also the way you draw wolves, outlines fit for a comic and, as I said, text in caps. A lot of people make a stupid mistake in a way that they have a comic with cell-shaded characters, thin outlines, normal text and detailed backgrounds which is typical of BBA.
I tried drawing a lion once and even though it looked nothing like TLK my mom said "Look, she drew Simba!". So yeah, I know what you mean.

I haven't even looked at it yet. I will. But I just wanted to say that I'm SO glad you're still doing this. It makes me a very happy Kia to see our gorgeous EWers and Vampires put in to Muffin's amazing style.

Hmm, no. If anything these comics were more inspired by [link] because they were an illustration on a roleplay thread and I thought that was a neat idea.
The BBA has nothing in common with the Realm of WolfWeb other than the fact they both include canine-resembling creatures. The Realm takes place in the future, humans are extinct, there is a surplus of magic, demons, spirits, battles between Evil and Pure beings, and fantastical creatures (Wargs, Hellhounds, Wind Riders, Elementals, Angels, Gods, Devils, etc). Everything is in constant turmoil. Names like Cerberus and Wolfsbane are renowned throughout the -entire- world, and their presence effects everyone. Evil Wind is an evil Dire wolf pack, whose enemy in this saga is an equally evil group of Vampires (in addition to absolutely everyone else). Dires, in WolfWeb, are not normal dire wolves, but a specifically designed Evil race which are favored by Cerberus and have been given wings and other 'gifts' as a tokens of her appreciation. Both Dires and Vampires murder and swear up storms and and start fights for no reason. Your sympathy for either group depends only on what side your character is on.
In Kay's world it takes place in a normal, prehistoric setting with normal dire wolves and normal saber-toothed cats and even humans. There are normal, good wolves, who fight against bad (but normal) saber-toothed cats. Swiftkill and the BBA group may be larger than others, but they are still normal. No magical powers. They help in a war to defend their territory.

I guess wolves = BBA to some people, even if the storylines aren't alike.
Either way, I'm actually glad that person said something and you took the time to respond - because after reading your respond I now know a little more about these creatures.

That's awesome! I really likes it a lot. Hard to see the speech bubbles though- at least to where they point to unless you look up close. But yeah, it's great.

this is really good Shaddie! Ive been WAITING for this page for so long, i adored page 1!
I really worry about the colors being so dark. I have a hard time making out what's going on (ive loaded it up on 3 monitors, i know some are calibrated differently) and in print this would show up on paper as probably nothing but black. So just for future reference - more contrast!
