The 1939th Battalion was a clone battalion that was founded during the early months of the Clone Wars. The battalion was led by Clone Commander Goody.
The 1939th Battalion was seen in numerous battles. The men of this battalion were trained to use a variety of different weapons, Goody always found the idea of a trooper to be specialized in only one type of weapon stupid, so all his men were prepared to use any weapon.
Goody led his battalion alongside numerous different jedis, including he even led his battalion alongside the famous General Mace Windu, who was one of the jedis that impressed the most and aroused the most admiration on the part of Goody.
During the last moments of the Clone Wars, Goody and the 1939th Battalion found themselves on a planet that had recently been conquered. The battle had been fierce and many different clone units, including the 1939th Battalion, had worked together to take over the entire planet. Many jedis and clones died in this battle but in the end they were victorious.
Goody, along with his battalion and a jedi knight, had been sent to one of the northernmost lands on the planet. They were doing a clearing operation, looking for any remaining enemies, to eliminate or capture them, depending on the situation. It was during the operation that order 66 was carried out, and without thinking twice, Goody quickly pulled out both his pistols and fired at the jedi killing him instantly. After that, he continued with his mission, and would later join the newly formed Imperio Galatico.
