“Gajeel, (Name), there is a mission I want you two to go on,” Gramps told the Iron Dragon Slayer and the (h/c) head.

“Fine, but I didn’t want to go on it, especially with her,” Gajeel grumbled, head jerking in (Name)’s direction. She just nodded to the Master.

“I don't care what you want, you two are the best suited for this mission. Now get going,” The Master told them, Gajeel and (Name) walked out of the Guild Hall, Levy jumping up off the bar to run over them.

“Hey, so you’re going on a mission?” She asked, (Name) nodding mutely. Levy wrapped her arms around her scrawny shoulders.

“Stay safe then, I don’t want you coming back in a coffin!” The blue head told the girl. Straightening up she looked addressed Gajeel.

“You protect my younger sister, if she gets even a scratch, then the rest of your life isn’t going to be comfy!” Levy threatened the Dragon Slayer, protective over her younger sister. They were very similar, both in appearance and personality, both loved to read and were very clever.

The two walked out of the Guild, heading off to start their mission.

“Is it good?” Gajeel asked, eyes on the uneven path ahead of him. When he didn’t hear a reply, he glanced behind him, to see his partner with a book covering her face. All he could she was the top of her (h/c) head. They had been walking for over half an hour and he was amazed that she hadn’t fallen over the rocky terrain. (Name) lowered the book, so that her eyes were showing above the rim of her book. Her (e/c) eyes were hazed with confusion.

“Did you say something?” She asked the black haired man. He just scoffed, rolling his eyes skyward. They had set off late in the day, and the sun was about to set.

“We’re not gonna make it to the city in time, we’re probably gonna hafta camp out tonight,” he told her, beginning to scan for a place to camp for the night

“There’s a bus stop near, the bus will take us to the city within an hour and a half,” she whispered quietly. Gajeel’s eyes bulged out of their sockets. (Name) was a bit like Mystogan, she didn’t say much. For her to say a word was rare, for her to say nineteen, a full sentence, Gajeel thought it would never happen!

Gajeel grunted in agreement to her statement, nodding his head, telling her to take the lead. She walked past him, raising her book up again.

Five minutes of walking through the trees, brought them to a bus stop. The pair waited for the bus to arrive, (Name) reading, whilst Gajeel shuffled from foot to foot, impatiently waiting for the vehicle to arrive.

“Gajeel, the bus will come when it comes,” she whispered to him. He just grunted at her words of wisdom, not really wanting the bus to come, he would suffer with his motion sickness.

As if drawn by his negative thoughts about it, the bus came to a screeching halt in front of them. (Name) closed her book, and hopped on to it, heading straight to the back row, sitting on the right side. Gajeel trailed behind her, lost. He sat next to her, surprised she hadn’t gotten her book out to read again, instead she was just looking out of the window. The bus lurched forward, jolting them forward, forcing them to grab onto the seat in front of them.

Whilst (Name) withdrew her hand, Gajeel clenched it harder, already feeling motion sick. He ground his teeth together feeling his stomach churn the food he had ate early. Gajeel felt a warm hand on his shoulder. Rotating his head, he saw (Name) look at him, worry evident in her large (e/c) eyes.

“Laying your head on someone’s lap can help with motion sickness,” she informed him. He looked at her questioningly. (Name) nodded her head. Gajeel lowered his head, keeping his eyes locked on to hers, until the left side of his head rested on her lap. Placing his legs on the rest of the seat row, he shuffled till he was comfortable. He crossed his arms, and closed his red eyes, immediately feeling slightly better.

A few moments later he felt a small hand on his head, running through his long black hair, massaging his scalp. He leant in to the hands enjoying the treatment. (Name) scratched his scalp lightly with her nails. Feeling him relax under her ministrations, she smiled and leant her head on the back of her seat. Her hand began to cramp so she stopped stroking his slicked hair. Gajeel, missing the feel of the hands, shuffled back into her stomach, nudging her hand. Giggling softly, (Name) continued to stroke his head with both hands, until she too fell asleep.
