Finding My Self

Chapter I
The First Path

I think I'm dreaming, but it feels so real. I'm cold and I have a headache from the light. When I look around I don't find anything. Just a black abyss. Then slowly a path lightens up in front of me. As I follow this path I come to a three way fork. Each one has it's own feel to it. I was easily able to see they didn't lead to the same place. In the distance, on each road I see glowing orbs. Each road had its own color orb. The one on my left was red. The one in front of me was blue. And the one on my right was white. I didn't know what to chose till I felt warmth coming from the path on my left. With nothing to lose I walked to it. As it got hotter and hotter wile I walked toward it. I couldn't even look at the orb any more. But I walked closer and closer. When I touched it the world changed. I wasn't in the same place as I was in before. I was older and I felt so powerful. I was standing on what looked like my own empire. I was the ruler of the land I stood on. I commanded things to be done and people listened. But it was dark and Gothic. But I liked it. I ruled over so many people and nations. I had the world at my finger tips. Every one was dressed in black and red. I had armies at my command, ready to fight to the death for me. Servants obeying my every word, bending to one knee in my presence, and bowing as I left. I felt like a king. The king of all, I ruled the world. Then there was a girl brought to me. She was beautiful. She had long blond hair and deep green eyes. But I was told she was caught with the rebel army plotting against my plans of world domination. She was a Christian. Sent by the lord to stop me, so she exclaimed. "I am the lord of all the earth." I said. "What lord would you be talking about?" I asked her. "The Lord God All Mighty!" She yelled. I had her beheaded that very moment. Then I knew I wasn't lord of all. I wanted to be. I felt the pain as she screamed only to be instantly silenced. As the blade hit the ground. I wasn't the ruler of a Godly kingdom. I turned and looked at the sky, as a bright pillar of light fell from the clouds. I was blinded and when I had opened my eyes again I was back at the fork in the road. Back in the dark abyss, wondering what happened. Now I'm back into this dream were I'm a kid like nothing happened in the first place.
