what?.. where what isn't a facehugger? that is the only name i have ever heard it go by.. i mean, they don't really give them serious names, well, except that the over all species are referred to as Xenomorphs:/

in a fan fic?.__..... they are called facehuggers because the face is the part of the body they are made to latch on too and they have to impregnate the stomach because of the Gastric acid(which i believe has something to do with why their blood is an acid type)..
plus the sacs on the sides of the facehugger are for supplying the host with oxygen while it is impregnating them.. so the "face" in the name is kinda a warning as to what they hug

There blood is a different kinda acid from our stomack. yeah but in the fan fic they hug a different part of the body cause there different. Youed have to read it to understand.

Facehuggers, from the movie Aliens. The aliens were designed by the very well known HG Giger, who made the aliens designs after "female anatomy". When you think of a facehunnger, a created on HR.G, you're thinking of his phallic symbols and vaginas that he incorporates in most of his artwork, alas you were thinking of vaginas.
