I love the angle of the picture taken and how the picture is focused on the driver who looks very focused. honestly it is a great picture and the people in the background look like they are having blast but also scared for when they start the race (xD I would do the same). Nice collection of classic racers. I built the Hawaiian Funny Car kit as a kid decades ago. And I recall that Hot Wheels produced a drag racing set that featured the Mongoose VS Snake rivalry. I think it's cool you were able meet many of those drag racing greats.

I have some goggles that look a lot like that, just with some blue or grey (I forgot which, I'm not lookign at them) fabric at the base, and a brown strap
old soviet cold war goggles, a bit tight but quite comfortable
