One of the first step I've done, when designing my character.

Long time ago, back in school, I've came up with idea of my family's coat of arms. A sword which represent my father- a soldier, and a quill, which represent my mother- a teacher.

Few year later, when I started designing my OC, for some reasons I recall this little fact. And somehow... it fit's my vision for this character- A strong warrior, yet also a wise man... um, pony. A character, who's capable of using sword, but also have wide magic knowledge, that shouldn't be confused with magic abilities.
